Abstract

Description

The invention relates to a raising aid for raising a person according to the preamble of claim 1.

Numerous raising aids for raising a person from a sitting position to a standing position are known in the prior art.

Usually, a lifting aid has a frame with a handle on which the person concerned can hold on. The frame stands with a base, which is preferably equipped with castors, on the floor. The handle is arranged on a pivotably mounted support arm which can be moved between a lowered and a raised position by means of a drive. The lifting aid is moved, for example, to a bed, seating furniture or a wheelchair on which the person in question is sitting. The feet are then placed on a shelf connected to the frame and the support arm is lowered. The shins of the person to be raised are placed on shin pads connected to the frame and the handle is held. The shin pads are adjustable on a lower area of the frame and serve as a counter bearing when the support arm is moved into the raised position. While this is happening, the person's shins are supported on the shin pads and the person follows the upward movement of the support arm. In addition or as an alternative to the movable support arm, there are also straps, belts or seat swings for straightening the back and / or the buttocks. A disadvantage of the known raising aids is that the shin pads have to be adjusted to the respective person in a very laborious manner so that no excessive feeling of pressure or even a pressure point occurs on the shins during the raising movement. This usually involves loosening or loosening the shin pads and finding a suitable position in a predetermined vertical grid until the person can very comfortably place their shins on the shin pads. An important aspect is that the kneecaps of the person in particular do not come into contact with the shin rest, as this could be painful for the person during an upright movement. The entire procedure is therefore time-consuming and laborious, both for the person to be lifted and for the nursing staff.

The aim of the invention is to overcome these and other disadvantages of the prior art and to propose an alternative raising aid with which the above-mentioned disadvantages can be eliminated so that complex adjustment of the shin pads is not necessary and a pleasant, upright movement can still be guaranteed .

The main features of the invention are set out in the characterizing part of claim 1. Refinements are the subject of claims 2 to 12.

An erecting aid for raising a person is provided, with a frame, at least one support arm with a handle, which is movably arranged on the frame, and a drive device, which is coupled to the frame and the at least one support arm, for moving the at least one support arm into a lowered and a raised position, and at least one upholstery support with a foam for supporting the shins of the person when moving the at least one support arm. The support arm can be designed in one or more parts and / or can be arranged to be pivotable about an in particular horizontal pivot axis on the vertical section of the frame. At least one handle, which is arranged on the support arm, is used to hold on. It is conceivable to use several differently shaped and arranged handles that are adapted to certain habits, preferences or physical limitations.

To support the feet, the frame can have a footrest. This can prevent the frame from accidentally moving away from the person during the uprighting movement. The footrest can be arranged in a fixed, non-adjustable position.

The cushion support is preferably arranged close to the base and extends vertically well over the footrest. It is made from a viscose-elastic foam that is at least 6 cm thick.

This inventive design of a raising aid with a cushion support and a pivotable bearing with two independent, spaced horizontal hinge axes makes it possible for the first time to support a person, in particular a patient, in an uncomplicated and largely painless way when standing up. By means of a second hinge axis, the upholstery support can not only be tilted backwards in the horizontal direction, but can also be moved vertically at least slightly upwards. This gives the movement of the cushion support an additional degree of freedom. The upholstery support can be tilted at different heights above the footrest.

When the lifting aid is used as intended, the hinge axes are aligned parallel to the floor. In addition, the hinge axes are preferably arranged symmetrically to the frame in order to enable symmetrical directions of force and to avoid tilting of movable components. The upholstery support can consequently perform a tilting movement about two axes which run parallel to an imaginary connecting line between the two knees of the person concerned. Depending on their distance, the mobility of the cushion support can also be achieved in the form of a translation in the vertical.

Due to the rearward arrangement, the entire upholstery support can be tilted around the pivoting bearing. During the uprighting movement, the upholstered support can consequently follow a changed alignment of the shins and the knees of the person, so that a merely locally increasing mechanical pressure between the upholstered support and the person is avoided. The cushion support consequently performs a compensating movement, which further reduces the burden on the person.

This combined mobility allows the upholstered support to follow the shins and knees until it is fully erect, thus preventing an uncomfortable feeling of pressure, particularly on the kneecap. During the straightening movement, the kneecap moves upwards in relation to the lower leg. This movement of the kneecap is recorded and followed by the additional possibility of movement of the upholstery support in the vertical direction, albeit only a small one.

In an advantageous embodiment, the cushion support is made of a viscoelastic foam with a thickness of at least 6 cm, preferably a thickness of 7 to 13 cm, particularly preferably 9 to 11 cm and particularly preferably 10 cm. The viscoelastic foam is able to depict the anatomy of the patient and not only take up the shins of the person to be raised, but also the knees. A viscose-elastic foam differs significantly from that of a cold foam in terms of its mechanical deformation behavior. The material behavior is both elastic and viscous, so that the foam combines the properties of solids and liquids. This material is also known as "memory foam" and can, for example, be mainly based on polyurethane. Such a foam is significantly more dense than a conventional foam and can exert an improved supporting force. The deformation behavior can also be adapted in such a way that the foam adapts very well to the shape of the person's shins and knees with light and relatively slow movement with only a slow change in the mechanical pressure. With a more rapid change in the mechanical pressure, however, a sufficient supporting force can be provided, since the foam does not change its shape immediately. The upholstery support forms an optimally adapted counter-bearing for the upright movement. The use of such a foam allows ideal distribution of the mechanical pressure generated during the upright movement due to the good shape adaptation, so that the knees are barely noticeably stressed.

In combination with the two hinge axes, the person can be given particularly advantageous support during the uprighting movement. As a result of the selected thickness, the foam can support a soft sinking in and ensure that there is no risk of impacting a mechanical limitation of the foam on a side facing the frame. It is conceivable that the upholstery support can also be equipped with a relatively small thickness of the viscoelastic foam layer, which can be located approximately at the lower end of the above-mentioned area, since the pivotable bearing tracks the upholstery support particularly well.

Another particular advantage of the lifting aid according to the invention is that the fastening position of the upholstery support does not have to be laboriously adapted to the respective user, but rather an optimal adjustment of the upholstery support always without manual interaction due to the positive properties of both the novel pivoting bearing and the viscose-elastic foam any people. Therefor A sufficient material thickness of the foam is helpful. It has been found that a thickness of approximately 5 cm and preferably 6 cm is sufficient to ensure such an adaptation. In an advantageous development, the pivotable bearing has a parallelogram guide or a series arrangement of at least two pivot bearings. The parallelogram guide can comprise a pair of arms which extend parallel to one another and which are, for example, pivotably arranged on the frame. At an end facing away from the frame, the upholstery support can be connected via a conventional pivot bearing and allow a pivoting or tilting movement. However, the use of a series arrangement of pivot bearings is to be understood to the effect that one pivotably mounted element carries another pivotably mounted element. In a further advantageous embodiment, the raising aid has a holding plate mounted on the frame via a first pivot bearing, the cushion support being mounted on the plate via a second pivot bearing. The holding plate is directly coupled to the frame. It is also possible to use two retaining plates which are pivotably arranged on both sides of a frame strut. The upholstery support can be coupled to the retaining plate by means of a flange. In addition to the desired movement, a robust, yet mechanically simple and highly resilient connection is also guaranteed.

At least one of the second pivot bearings preferably allows pivoting of at most 30 ° and preferably of at most 25 °. The alignment of the cushion support at the beginning of the righting movement then does not require any special support measures and the movement of the cushion support is restricted to the required extent.

An advantageous further development provides that the bearing is arranged essentially centrally on the upholstery support. In particular, the bearing can be arranged in the geometric center of a rear side of the upholstery support and, if necessary, be offset a little in the vertical direction. In this way, the upholstered support can be aligned very well to the shins of a seated person and can exert a sufficient supporting force at all angles of the person's shins that occur during the uprighting movement.

In an advantageous embodiment, the upholstery support can have a fixed shell on a rear side on which the foam is arranged. The shell could be made of a metallic material, for example aluminum, or a plastic, such as polycarbonate (PC), polypropylene (PP), acrylic butadiene styrene (ABS) or a fiber-reinforced plastic. The solid shell serves in particular as a carrier for the viscoelastic foam and for coupling the upholstery support to the frame. The upholstered support can consequently have exclusively the soft foam on a side facing the person to be raised if the firm shell is present on the rear side. In this way, it can be ruled out that, when the shins and knees initially nestle against the upholstered support, there is brief contact with a hard edge or holder of the foam, which makes standing up uncomfortable.

In an advantageous development, a base layer made of cold foam can be arranged between the foam and the solid shell. The base layer can prevent the viscoelastic foam from being pressed through to the solid shell. The cold foam can have a conventional, exclusively elastic behavior through the use of an open-cell foam. In particular, it is preferred that the cold foam has a relatively high strength, which influences the mechanical behavior, in particular of the viscoelastic foam, as little as possible.

It is advantageous if the base layer has a thickness which corresponds at most to a quarter of the thickness of the foam and preferably to a maximum of one eighth. As a result, the base layer hardly noticeably contributes to the overall strength of the upholstery support. A thickness of the base layer of around 1 cm is conceivable.

In an advantageous embodiment, the cushion support has a flexible, waterproof protective layer. This protective layer could be designed as a lamination or foaming. The protective layer can be based on polyurethane or comprise polyurethane. If a solid shell is used for the upholstery support, the protective layer can surround the solid shell including the viscoelastic foam. This ensures insensitivity to water, mechanical and chemical effects, for example during transport or disinfection.

In an advantageous embodiment, the cushion support can extend to a height of at least 65 cm and preferably at least 70 cm relative to a footrest. In an equally advantageous embodiment, the cushion support has a width of at least 60 cm and preferably of at least 70 cm.
