Description

Bottle equipped with a braking and retaining element of the cap
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a bottle for transporting beverages, comprising a braking and retaining element which allows to slow down the opening speed of the lid and to retain it in its open position.
It should be noted that in this document, the terms "longitudinal", "transverse", "horizontal", "vertical", "lower", "upper", "high" and "low" used to describe the bottle refer to the use of the bottle when it is placed on a horizontal plane.
Background
From document WO2015055055, a bottle for transporting beverages is known, comprising: a receptacle for receiving a beverage; a cover pivotably mounted relative to the receptacle about an axis of rotation between a closed position defining an opening stroke and an open position; and a resetting means for resetting the cover to the open position.
Such bottles comprise a locking member of the lid for cooperating with the lid and configured to lock the lid in its closed position when the locking member is in a locked position and to release the lid from its closed position when the locking mechanism is transferred from its locked position to an unlocked position, the lid then being opened under the action of the resetting means.
However, when the lid is transferred from its closed position to its open position under the action of the resetting means, the opening movement of the lid of this configuration of the bottle is sudden and unexpected, so that the lid violently hits the stop.
In addition, the cap of such a bottle does not remain in its open position when it is opened. When the user wants to drink the beverage in the bottle, the user holds the bottle in his hand and bends his arm to bring the bottle to the mouth, so that the lid in the open position tends to close to its closed position under its own weight. As a result, the lid risks falling on the user's face during its use. Thus, this configuration may cause an unpleasant use experience for the user.
Disclosure of Invention
It is an object of the present invention to overcome the above disadvantages and to provide a bottle with improved ergonomics to allow a pleasant use experience for the user.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a bottle for transporting beverages, which has a design that is simple and economical to implement.
These objects are achieved with a bottle for transporting beverages, comprising: a receptacle for receiving a beverage; a cover pivotably mounted relative to the receptacle about an axis of rotation between a closed position defining an opening stroke and an open position; and a resetting device for resetting the cap into the open position, characterized in that the bottle comprises a braking and retaining element which, under the action of a resetting mechanism, abuts against the cap, the braking and retaining element being movable relative to the cap to brake the cap and retain it in its open position throughout the opening stroke.
With this configuration, the braking and retaining element ensures two functions: a first function for braking the cover upon its opening movement, and a second function for holding the cover in the open position. Thus, the user experience is improved by avoiding a sudden opening of the lid and the lid falling on the user's face.
Preferably, the braking and retaining element is mounted in translation along the rotation axis between a braking position, in which it rubs on the cover when it is transferred from its closed position to its open position, and a retaining position, in which it retains the cover in its open position.
The brake and hold member is translationally movable along the axis of rotation between a braking position and a holding position. The reset mechanism applies a reset force to the detent and retaining element in the direction of the axis of rotation such that when the cover is transferred from its closed position to its open position, the detent and retaining element translates along the axis of rotation and moves to its retaining position. Such a braking and retaining element has a compact and easy-to-implement construction.
Preferably, the braking and retaining element comprises a braking member cooperating with the cover, said braking member comprising a friction surface which rubs on a complementary friction surface of said cover, which allows slowing down the movement of the cover when it is transferred from its closed position to its open position.
Thus, the friction surface of the braking and retaining element, under the action of the return mechanism, abuts against a complementary friction surface of the cover to apply a kinetic friction thereto, so as to prevent the movement thereof when the cover is transferred from its closed position to its open position.
Advantageously, the friction surface is flat and perpendicular to the rotation axis.
The friction surfaces apply a frictional force to complementary friction surfaces of the lid to resist movement of the lid during the opening stroke.
Advantageously, the friction surface comprises a portion of a helicoid.
A helicoid is understood to be a surface obtained by a helical displacement from a line segment orthogonal to the axis of rotation, one end of which describes a straight line coinciding with the axis of rotation.
Thus, the dynamic friction gradually decreases when the lid is transferred from its closed position to its open position. At the beginning of the opening stroke of the lid, the acceleration of the movement is greatly reduced due to the maximum dynamic friction exerted on the lid by the reset mechanism, which provides the maximum reset force at the beginning of the opening stroke. The return force of the return mechanism applied to the braking and retaining element then decreases as the cover is transferred from its closed position to its open position, while the kinetic friction gradually decreases.
Preferably, the braking and retaining element comprises a retaining member which blocks the cover in its open position.
Such a retaining member ensures a second function for retaining the lid in the open position.
Advantageously, the retaining member comprises a main wall cooperating with at least one secondary wall of the cover when the cover is in the open position to allow it to be retained in its open position, the main wall and the secondary wall being configured such that, when a force of a value greater than a predetermined value is applied to the cover, the braking and retaining element is transferred from its retaining position to its braking position and the cover is moved away from its open position towards its closed position.
The user can transfer the lid from its open position to its closed position simply by pushing on the lid. Thus, the operation for transferring the lid from its open position to its closed position is easy for the user to perform.
Advantageously, the main wall and/or the secondary wall are flat.
The main wall and/or the secondary wall have a simple, effective and easy-to-implement structure.
In a preferred embodiment, the bottle comprises a support arranged on the receptacle, the support comprising an opening and a pouring spout allowing the beverage to be transferred, in particular to the outside of the receptacle, the lid being pivotably mounted on the support about an axis of rotation between a closed position and an open position.
The cover is pivotably mounted on a support which is itself arranged on the receptacle. The support is designed to be easily detachable for cleaning and filling the receptacle with beverage.
Advantageously, the braking and retaining element is guided in translation in the housing of the support.
The braking and retaining element and the housing of the support are configured so that the braking and retaining element can move only in translation along the rotation axis in the housing of the support to ensure slowing down and effective retention of the cover.
In a preferred embodiment, the lid is locked on the support by a locking system when the lid is in the closed position.
The locking system includes a locking member movable between a locked position in which the lid is held in its closed position and an unlocked position in which the lid is released from its closed position.
Advantageously, the return means for returning the cover to the open position comprise a torsion spring arranged around the rotation axis.
Thus, the torsion spring is loaded to a maximum level by applying a maximum torsion force to the lid when the lid is in its closed position. When the locking member is moved to its unlocked position to allow the lid to be released from its closed position, the lid will automatically open under the maximum torque force. The torsional force provided by the torsion spring gradually decreases during opening of the lid and reaches a minimum level when the lid reaches its open position.

Detailed Description
The embodiments described below relate to a bottle for transporting beverages, such as hot water, cold water, coffee or tea, comprising a braking and retaining element which allows to slow down the opening speed of the lid and to retain the lid in its open position. In a particular embodiment of the invention, as shown in figures 1 and 2, the bottle 1 comprises: a receptacle 2 for receiving a beverage, a lid 3 mounted pivotably relative to the receptacle 2 about an axis of rotation 4, and a support 23. In this particular embodiment, a portion of the receptacle 2 is made of stainless steel, and the receptacle 2 has a double-walled construction defining a vacuum space between the lid double-walled construction. In other embodiments, the receptacle 2 is made of any suitable material, including but not limited to metallic materials, composite materials, plastic materials, glass materials, polymeric materials, and combinations thereof. The bottle 1 includes a base 20 made of a plastic or rubber material and disposed at a lower portion of the receptacle 2 to protect the receptacle 2 from external impact. A support 23 is arranged between the receptacle 2 and the cover 3, the cover 3 being pivotably mounted on the support 23 about the axis of rotation 4 between a closed position defining an opening stroke and an open position.
According to fig. 3 and 4, the cover 3 is mounted on the tube 23A supported by the support 23 through the rod 42, in a pivoting connection about the rotation axis 4. The support 23 comprises a pouring spout 232 and an opening 231, the pouring spout 232 and the opening 231 being configured to allow the beverage to be transferred, in particular, to the outside of the receptacle 2. The support 23 is screwed to an upper opening (not shown) of the receptacle 2. The hermetic assembly between the receptacle 2 and the support 23 is ensured by a sealing joint (not shown). The bottle 1 comprises a resetting device 5 for resetting the lid 3 to the open position and a locking system 9 arranged on the support 23. The locking system 9 comprises a locking member 91 in the form of a locking button 91, which locking button 91 is pivotal about the axis 10 between a locking position in which the lid 3 is held in its closed position and an unlocking position in which the lid 3 is no longer locked in its closed position.
The lid 3 comprises a closing plug 32, which closing plug 32 is made of a flexible material and is arranged on the lower surface 30 of the lid 3. The closing plug 32 cooperates with the opening 231 of the support 23 such that, when the lid 3 is in the closed position, the passage of the beverage through the opening 231 is sealingly closed by the closing plug 32.
The return means 5 comprise a torsion spring 51, which torsion spring 51 is arranged around the rotation axis 4 between the cover 3 and the support 23. When the lid 3 is locked in its closed position by the locking member 91 in the locked position, the torsion spring 51 is loaded to the maximum level by applying the maximum torsion force to the lid 3. When the locking member 91 is moved to its unlocking position to release the cover 3 from its closed position, the cover 3 is opened from its closed position to its open position by the torsion spring 51. The torsional force provided by the torsion spring 51 gradually decreases during opening of the lid and reaches a minimum level when the lid 3 reaches its open position.
As shown in fig. 5 and 6, the torsion spring 51 is disposed around the rod 42 in a first chamber 233, the first chamber 233 being disposed inside the tube 23A. The bottle 1 comprises a braking and retaining element 6, which braking and retaining element 6 abuts against the cap 3 under the action of a return mechanism 7. The return mechanism 7 is a spring 7, which spring 7 is arranged around the axis of rotation 4 in a housing 234 of the support 23, which housing 234 is a second chamber 234 arranged inside the tube 23A, the braking and holding element 6 is arranged partly in the second chamber 234, and a part of the spring 7 is arranged in the inner chamber 60 of the braking and holding element 6. The braking and retaining element 6 is movable in translation along the axis of rotation 4 between a braking position, in which the braking and retaining element 6 rubs on the cover 3 when the cover 3 is transferred from its closed position to its open position, and a retaining position, in which the braking and retaining element 6 locks the cover 3 in its open position. As shown in fig. 5, the cover 3 is held in its open position and the braking and retaining element 6 is in its retaining position.
According to fig. 7 and 8, the braking and retaining element 6 comprises a braking member 62, which braking member 62 is configured to brake the movement of the cover 3 when the cover 3 is transferred from its closed position to its open position. The brake member 62 includes a friction surface 622. When the braking and retaining element 6 is in the braking position shown in fig. 6, the friction surface 622 abuts against the complementary friction surface 322 of the cover 3 under the action of the spring 7 to apply a kinetic friction thereto, so as to prevent the movement of the cover 3 when the cover 3 is transferred from its closed position to its open position. In this particular embodiment, the friction surface 622 and the complementary friction surface 322 are flat and perpendicular to the axis of rotation 4. The contact surface between the friction surface 622 and the complementary friction surface 322 decreases with the opening of the lid 3. Therefore, the dynamic friction applied to the lid 3 gradually decreases as the lid 3 is transferred from its closed position to its open position. The reduction in friction compensates for the variation in the force exerted by the torsion spring 51 on the cover 3.
The braking and retaining element 6 comprises a retaining member 61, which retaining member 61 allows to lock the cover 3 in its open position. Retaining member 61 includes a major wall 611, major wall 611 extending from annular surface 66 to friction surface 622. When the cover 3 is in the open position, the main wall 611 cooperates with the secondary wall 311 of the cover 3, which allows to keep the cover 3 in its open position. The secondary wall 311 is flat and extends from the flat surface 33 perpendicular to the rotation axis 4 to a complementary friction surface 322 of the cover 3. The main wall 611 includes at least a portion inclined with respect to the rotation axis 4 so that the sub-wall 311 can slide on the main wall 611. Thus, when a force of a value greater than a predetermined value is applied to the cover 3, the braking and retaining element 6 is transferred from its retaining position to its braking position and the cover 3 is moved away from its open position towards its closed position.
According to fig. 3 and 7, the braking and retaining element 6 comprises a guide member 63, this guide member 63 being configured to prevent rotation of the braking and retaining element 6 and to guide its translational movement in a second cavity 234 of the tube 23A carried by the support 23. The guide member 63 is structured like a triangular prism, the guide member 63 being protrudingly arranged along the rotation axis 4 on a cylindrical surface 67 of the braking and holding element 6.
In operation, to open the lid 3 which is initially closed in its closed position by the lock button 91, the user depresses the lock button 91 to switch it from its locked position to its unlocked position. Thus, the lid 3 is released from its closed position. The lid 3 then starts to open into its open position and pivots about the axis of rotation 4 under the action of the torsion spring 51. The friction surface 622 of the braking and retaining element 6 rubs on the complementary friction surface 322 of the cover under the action of the spring 7, to allow slowing of the opening movement of the cover 3. When the cover 3 reaches its open position, the main wall 611 of the braking and retaining element 6 cooperates with the secondary wall 311 of the cover 3 to allow the cover 3 to be retained in its open position.
In order to close the lid 3, which is held in its open position, the user pushes the lid 3 into its closed position by applying a force of a value greater than a predetermined value. The secondary wall 311 of the cover 3 slides on the main wall 611 of the braking and retaining element 6, so that the braking and retaining element 6 is transferred from its retaining position to its braking position and the cover 3 leaves its open position towards its closed position. When the cover 3 reaches its closed position, the cover 3 is locked by the lock button 91. As a result, the lid 3 is closed, and the passage of the beverage through the opening 231 is closed by the closing lid 32.
Of course, the invention is in no way limited to the described and illustrated embodiments, which are given by way of example only. Modifications may be made, particularly from a constructional point of view of the various elements or by substitution of equivalent techniques, without however departing from the scope of protection of the invention.
According to a second particular embodiment of the invention, illustrated in figure 9, the friction surface 622 of the braking and retaining element 6 comprises a portion of the helicoid 623. A helicoid is understood to be a surface obtained by helical displacement from a line segment orthogonal to the axis of rotation 4, one end of which describes a straight line coinciding with the axis of rotation 4. The portion of the spiral 623 of the friction surface 622 is configured so that the braking and retaining element 6 gradually translates into its retaining position when the lid 3 is transferred from its closed position to its open position. Therefore, the dynamic friction applied to the lid 3 gradually decreases as the lid 3 is transferred from its closed position to its open position. At the beginning of the opening stroke of the cover 3, the acceleration of the movement is greatly reduced due to the maximum dynamic friction exerted on the cover 3 by the spring 7, the spring 7 then providing the maximum return force at the beginning of the opening stroke. Then, the return force of the spring 7 applied to the braking and retaining element 6 decreases as the cover 3 is transferred from its closed position to its open position, while the kinetic friction gradually decreases. This configuration of the friction surface 622 allows the user to more easily close the lid 3 by applying less force.
In an embodiment variant, the complementary friction surface 322 of the lid 3 is a complementary helicoidal portion cooperating with a portion of the helicoidal surface 623 of the braking member 62, so that the braking and retaining element 6 gradually translates into its retaining position when the lid 3 is transferred from its closed position to its open position. Therefore, the dynamic friction applied to the lid 3 gradually decreases as the lid 3 is transferred from its closed position to its open position.
Accordingly, the minor wall of the cover is inclined with respect to the rotation axis. The minor wall of the cover has a non-flat surface.
According to a third particular embodiment of the invention, shown in figure 10, the complementary friction surface 322 of the cover 3 coincides with the flat surface 33 of the cover 3. The complementary friction surface 322 is flat and perpendicular to the rotation axis 4. In this particular embodiment, the braking and retaining element 6 is identical to that shown in fig. 7, the friction surface 622 of the braking member 62 being configured to rub on the complementary friction surface 322 of the cover 3 under the action of the spring 7, so as to slow down the cover 3 during its opening stroke. Thus, the opening of the lid 3 is gradually slowed down until the lid 3 reaches its open position, in which the lid 3 rests against the surface of the support 23. At the end of the opening stroke, the cover 3 is held in its open position by means of a braking member 62, which braking member 62 abuts against the cover 3 under the action of the spring 7.
In a further embodiment variant, the guide member of the braking and retaining element has a shape resembling a cuboid which projects along the axis of rotation on a cylindrical surface of the braking and retaining element.
