The present invention relates to adults carrying children and people who are slightly larger than children. More particularly, the present invention relates to an adjustable device to provide an interface between a carrier and a child being carried and to provide a hands-free ride that is very safe for a child riding over an adult's shoulders. With seat cushions and harnesses that can be installed and adjusted according to needs, this device provides a safe and more comfortable experience for both children and adults.
Background technique
Carrying children, especially toddlers, on the shoulders of adults or older siblings has been the most popular form of transportation since ancient times, and for children it is viewed from a completely different perspective than walking The chance of the world is also a chance to rest their immature feet that must quicken their pace to keep up with the pace of adults.
And for adults carrying children, this is a way to keep children away from potential harm lying in ambush on the ground. For example, this approach works well in crowded places where children may be stepped on or separated from adults, such as busy transportation hubs, amusement parks and so on. It's also an easy way to control children's actions without shouting commands, since most children will willingly and aggressively jump at the chance to jump on their parents' shoulders above the passing crowd.
However, as with adults who carry children, the amount of time spent on the shoulders is inversely proportional to the quality of the pleasure for children. For adults carrying children, the weight of the child on their shoulders and the need to use their hands to control and balance the child often cause muscle fatigue and tension. In addition, the weight of the child resting on the musculoskeletal weight of the adult's shoulders and neck, and the pressure of the child pulling their head or neck to keep themselves upright, is enough pain and discomfort for the adult to put the child down .
For children, riding on the shoulders of skinny adults is a painful journey. Also, for smaller children who sit on the shoulders and lack the muscle strength and coordination to keep their backs straight and their feet properly positioned, the ride can be uncomfortable, unbalanced, and even scary of.
This fear is not just a children's problem. An adult carrying a child may be in constant fear of the child losing their grip or balance and sliding or falling backward out of their sight. Alternatively, nearby adults of their own type may have the same fear because they have no way of knowing how good the child's agility and balance are. Although humans have carried children on their shoulders throughout history, there may be less experience with people carrying people, people not carrying people, children, and carrying time than we think.
Traditionally, carrying a child on the shoulders usually required the bearer to hold the child's ankles with his hands. In this way, the child's center of gravity is stabilized and generally prevented from falling backwards. However, if the adult's hand slips slightly when the child is leaning back, the consequences can be serious.
Moderately complex frame carriers have also been invented and have been used in which the child is placed within the frame carrier and the carrier is mounted on the carrier's back or shoulders. Examples can be found in US Patent Nos. 4,746,044, 6,098,856 and 6,561,394.
However, such conventional frame vehicles are usually heavy, cumbersome, and inconvenient to carry. In addition, these and other similar vehicles do not necessarily fully support the child's back and upper body, while traditionally only the child's ankles are secured to ensure safety. Furthermore, these vehicles, which all support the back and upper body of a child, are designed to carry young children or infants who do not have the muscular strength or coordination to balance themselves in order to maintain an upright sitting position, yet since they are essentially rigid, they are known to It can cause pain to the adult or the bearer's neck.
Because there is a continuing and unfulfilled need for a vehicle that carries a child on the shoulders of an adult or a larger child, that is, the removal of bulky, rigid, bulky and cumbersome frames. Such a device should provide a safe and comfortable ride/carrying experience for both adults and children. Such devices should employ flexible components such as webbing type harnesses to provide elastic but strong attachment to the frame of the user's upper body and shoulders.
In addition, the device should employ a method of securing the child's ankle while the child is riding on the user's shoulders to remove the need for the bearer to hold the child's ankle with the upper arm. Additionally, the device should provide a seat adjustment and human-child interface to further assist in distributing the user's weight for increased comfort and ease of use. Furthermore, in the position used, while providing very safe protection for the child being carried, the device should free the bearer's hands, thereby lifting both parties out of distress. Furthermore, the device is preferably also suitable for young children who have grown enough to maintain an upright position without the assistance of a full backrest.
Still further, the device should be provided as a complete set of flexures combined with the bearer, as well as a tool for retrofitting the shoulder straps that the bearer has and has used, such as the shoulder straps of a backpack.
The foregoing examples of techniques and limitations are intended to be illustrative rather than restrictive, and do not imply any limitation on this specification and its application. Various limitations of the related art will become apparent to those familiar with the art after reading and understanding the following description and accompanying illustrations.
Contents of the invention
The device disclosed and described herein solves the shortcomings of the prior art and achieves the above mentioned by providing a child carrying and securing device which provides a safe and comfortable ride for a child riding on the shoulders of an adult. Target.
According to a preferred embodiment, the carrying and fixing device is composed of a flexible part that is adjusted around the upper chest or bust of the adult user and fixed as a fixed position. The flexible members forming the chest harness may consist of conventional materials, such as cloth or cloth webbing, or of any material suitable for the purposes presented by the invention.
Additionally, where flexible members are used, the chest harness may be padded or otherwise padded to provide additional comfort for the adult user. In order to adapt to breasts of various sizes, a belt combined with flexible parts is formed, the length can be adjusted and fasteners are used to allow the user to easily combine or disengage the device at a fixed position. Various forms of fasteners may include plastic fasteners, snaps, buckles, hook and loop fasteners, and other suitable fasteners known in the art, such as any suitable fasteners in the Granger catalog.
In another preferred embodiment of the device, the chest strap is adjusted by tightening or loosening the strap ends with buckles or other fasteners attached. This adjustment method is similar to the method adopted in traditional bag shoulder straps, and other similar methods. However, as provided in more practical examples, the tail end of the adjustable strap may form a substantially T-shaped cross-section, similar to a (modular light load carrying equipment) strap. In such an embodiment, after securing the buckle or other fastener, the end of the belt can be passed back through the buckle and secured to the other side of the chest belt, and one of the belt ends around the user's chest. The excess is secured securely.
In another preferred embodiment, in the device as a fixed position, the device is provided with a pillow-type interface, which is used at the fixed joint of the seat of a child sitting on the shoulder of a carrier or an adult. The upper surface of the pillow interface is provided with grooves along the seated child's buttocks which communicate with parallel leg groove channels formed in the pillow interface for the flexible members passing therethrough to Fix the pillow interface at the rear position of the bearer's neck. The pillow interface may also utilize any form of flexure or ankle fixation assembly or components combined with straps.
The device also includes an ankle fixation component as indicated herein, which can be used in combination with a flexible fixation component, either detachably with the user's existing straps, or with a shoulder integrated flexible component arrangement , such as backpack shoulder straps. These ankle anchors, when the device is in use mode, engage the chest or upper body of an adult user or child carrier and provide a secure lower body when the child is in the normal seating position above the user. The child's ankle or leg approach to the user's chest. The ankle anchors are configured to be removably engaged with cooperating fasteners located on opposite ends of each ankle anchor for use on the child's ankle or foot. Such integration of the lower legs adjacent to the child's feet eliminates the need for the user or bearer to lift their hands and arms to hold the child's ankles, as traditionally stabilizes and prevents the child from falling backwards. Thus incorporated into the child's leg, and also in combination with the provided flexible member, or another device such as a backpack, the ankle anchorage element can provide similar foot anchorage if held in the hands of an adult user no larger than . The device in the use position thus provides a hands-free fixation for a child riding over the user's shoulders.
According to another preferred embodiment of the device, a ride arrangement is provided on the back of the device, thus being behind the user when in use mode. The seat assembly is combined with the flexible part at a position opposite to the ankle fixing part. In this mode, the ride assembly may be made of a flexible material such as a textile, or a molded material, or the like. The ride assembly can be snugly fitted to provide an ergonomic seating arrangement for the child, similar to the shape of a saddle.
Those skilled in the art will recognize that different seating arrangements, shapes and contours are manufactured to suit their intended purpose, and all such seating arrangements which provide a recessed position for a child seated behind the head of an occupant are intended and considered to be is part of the present invention. The saddle configuration of the seat assembly will provide a comfortable ride for the child without full back support, so that the child can use their back muscles to maintain an upright sitting position, which also provides movement and eliminates back support friction or irritation Potential for children's backs. However, in other modes the seat unit may additionally provide, if desired, a self-rest interface or full back support extending vertically from the rear end of the seat.
The seat assembly is preferably combined with shoulder restraint straps, or components combined therewith. The harness extends from the front of the chest harness and ankle anchorage to an operably coupled connection with the seat. The flexible member or harness may be padded or otherwise padded on one or both sides to provide comfort for carrying adults and riding children.
The length of the shoulder strap can be adjusted if the ankle strap is attached. In a preferred embodiment, the exposed shoulder strap surface has a concave surface. The concave surface area can be provided by a recessed to-be-formed padding and provides a means of pre-positioning and padded engagement with the legs of the seated child suspended from the adult's chest. This recessed bookable leg position provides comfort for children on long rides as their legs do not rest on bumps or other surfaces where the harness protrudes. In addition, the child's legs remain in a position aligned with the ankle anchor without using the leg muscles.
The disclosed seat assembly is configured on a harness provided by a backpack configuration, or when the user's device has a harness configured on the harness, the weight of the child positioned on the seat can be effectively conveyed to the shoulder and chest straps, away from the user's neck. Therefore, the device provides a way to convey the weight of the child to the entire upper part and eliminate the pressure and tension that hurt the user's neck and back when the user carried the child on his shoulders in the past.
In accordance with at least one preferred embodiment of the present invention, the ankle fixation member is provided by an elongated flexible strap substantially formed as a U-shaped member with hook-type ends or other cooperating fasteners attached thereto. The part is preferably made of flexible plastic or other suitable material. In use, the child's ankle or other foot part will be incorporated into the U-shaped member through a slightly or moderately curved tail end. Bonding is preferably in the form of a hook-shaped tail that resists outward flexing to prevent separation of the child's ankle from the U-shaped member. However detachment can be accomplished by an adult user flexing the hook-type tail outwards or with other cooperating fasteners that resist automatic disengagement.
Additionally, in another preferred embodiment, the U-shaped member, or flexible ankle fixation member, is rotatably coupled to the flexible shoulder strap or strap. This rotation allows the child to maintain a flexed position with the feet at a slight or moderate incline from vertical. The rotatable linkage may be attached to the strap by a rotatable fastener of the foot anchor, rotatable rivets, or other suitable means.
Still further, in yet another preferred embodiment, the ankle fixation member may be attached to a cooperating strap with releasable fasteners. The straps may be padded or otherwise padded to provide additional comfort for the child. The releasable fasteners may be any suitable fasteners such as buckles, hook or loop fasteners or the like. This mode can be used where the device is provided with a flexible part for sale and a shoulder fixation, or an ankle fixation part incorporated into a user's existing device with straps attached, such as a backpack.
In all embodiments of the device, the ankle fixation member may be combined with one or both chest straps and shoulder straps, or components in communication therewith. When so combined, the ankle anchor must remain seated on the user's shoulders against the child's lower leg, adjacent to the front of the user's body.
With regard to the foregoing, before explaining in detail at least one preferred embodiment of the invention disclosed herein, it should be understood that the invention is not to be limited by its applied parts or construction or arrangement of components as illustrated or illustrated below. Detailed Description of the Preferred Embodiments of the Invention
In this specification, up, up, down, down, front, back, top, upper, bottom, lower, left, right and other prepositions indicating the orientation of the device and shown in the accompanying drawings are only for reasons of are used for convenience and are not intended to limit or imply any particular orientation in which the device will be used or placed.
Please refer now to the accompanying drawings of FIGS. Each view. As shown in FIGS. 1 and 4 , the immobilizing device 10 is placed in an active mode and is connected around the bust 102 of a user 100 , who should be an adult or a teenager who is grown enough to comfortably support a child.
The fastening device 10 includes a first flexible member, defined as the chest strap 12 , and includes a fastening fastener 14 as a means of joining the first end and the second end of the chest strap 12 . The fastening fastener 14 may be a two-part complementary metal or plastic fastener, one of which is cooperatively coupled to the other, or any other suitable fastener known for use in order to securely combine the end of a belt with the other. end technology. Methods for fastening the drawstring may include snap sets, two-piece mating snaps or clips, buckles, hooks and other drawstring fastening methods used to provide a removable, adjustable drawstring end to the other end combination of ends. The various components of the device disclosed herein can be made of conventional materials such as cloth, cloth webbing, plastic, but can be made of any material suitable for the purposes of this disclosure.
The fixation device 10 also includes a flexible leg or ankle fixation member 16 in combination with a flexible fitting member 17 extending from the chest strap 12 to engage it at a first end. The fastening member 16 is combined with the flexible fitting member 17 connecting the chest harness 12 at individual locations, which adopts a proper biomechanical posture and provides a method of enclosing the connection, so as to comfortably connect to the ankle or relative of the seated child. The foot adjacent to the ankle, where it is connected to the chest strap 12.
With the immobilization device 10 serving as an existing link, a child sitting on top of the user's shoulders can extend their legs by means of a chest strap 12 that wraps around the link and can be adjusted according to the torso between the wearer's waist and shoulders. The chest where the child's legs are placed by the user is placed a distance below the top edge of the user's shoulders. The securing member 16 is adapted to join a portion of each leg at or adjacent the ankle adjacent to the ball of the child's foot so as to eliminate the need for the user to hold the child's leg adjacent the ankle with his hand. Attached in this manner, the securing member 16 can hold the child's legs against the wearer's chest and provide a means of preventing the child from falling backwards, especially if the child removes their hands from the wearer.
In addition, because the fitting part 17 is only fitted on the first end connected to the chest harness 12, whether it is made of a flexible or elastic material, it can be used as a pivotable connection to allow the fixed part 16, relative to the vertical line (A in Fig. 3), in an angled position (A1 in Fig. 3). This situation will occur if the fitting part 17 is fitted directly in front of the chest belt 12 at both ends. Since the mode of device 10 in FIGS. 1-6 will be frequently used by older children who have sufficient balance and coordination to maintain themselves more safely riding over the wearer's shoulders, it is useful to provide fittings 17. The pivotable configuration of the angular position will provide a means of aligning the axis of the inner cavity of the harness member with the lower angled placement of the child's leg.
The pivotable fitting 17 will thus accommodate long-legged children who may have to angle their calves to place their feet adjacent the ankles with the securing member 16 in place under the knee. This angled placement is indicated by line A1 in Figure 3, presenting the angle at which the fitting 17 will pivot to assume an axial passage within the fitting 17 to accommodate long-legged children.
Because of this mode of securing device 10, a more comfortable and suitable manner for the child user is provided, which will encourage use and prevent possible deflection of the securing member 16 if not through the angular adjustment provided by the hinge-like fitting member 17. Abrasions and skin irritation in children.
Further, in a preferred embodiment where the device 10 employs a fixation member 16 as shown in FIGS. As shown in Figures 1-4, or other assembly parts as shown in Figures 7-13, and manufactured as a substantially U-shaped independent fixing part 16. As shown relative to the fixed member 16, the ends 18, 20 are employed, eg, in the shape of arcs or hooks, forming a space 22 extending therebetween. The hook-shaped tails are formed by a curved portion at each tail, and the edge portion of each tail is slightly curved toward the wearer's body.
In this mode, the ankle or calf fixation member 16 is preferably formed from a flexible member made of a polymer or plastic, such as polypropylene, polyethylene, nylon or other suitable material. In use, the child's ankle or adjacent leg can pass through the narrower gap 22 between the tail ends 18, 20 only by applying pressure to the leg, or only by the wearer separating the fastening member 16. The slightly narrower gap 22 of the rider's leg width can fix the position. Moving the legs towards the user makes it easier to separate the ends and expand the gap 22 to a second or larger size for sliding therethrough.
However, when the legs of the rider or child are surrounded by two curved fixing parts 16, a force from the rider's legs in a direction away from the wearer will be successively connected to the tails of the two terminating tail ends of the fixing parts 16. The leg strength at the end edge is due to the fact that the gap 22 in the first position is smaller than its leg width. This way of contacting the leg with the trailing edge or tail end of the hook will cause the hook portion of the tail 18, 20 to bend slightly, but in a straight line away from the force of the leg contacting him. This will make it more difficult for the rider's legs to slide out of the channel between them or wrap around the opposite fixing members 16 .
However, the outward curvature of the central portion of the two fixing members 16, the region between which it is bonded to the base, and the hook portion at the tail end, can be biased in opposite directions by external forces from the wearer's hand or rider's leg. Created by setting two components. This trailing end 18,20, and the result of the bending of the central region of the fixing member 16 for the larger leg, provides a way of enlarging the gap 22 when entering the area enclosed by the inner surfaces of the two fixing members 16, allowing Accommodates the child's leg adjacent to the ankle.
The flexible substance from which the U-shaped fixing member 16 is made is preferably elastic but not elastic in nature, such as molded polyethylene or polypropylene, or other elastic but inflexible material under external forces. Therefore, the effect of the biasing effect of the material returning to its original shape will restore the fastening member 16 when the gap 22 is narrower than the width of the child rider's leg at or near the ankle, such as 5 inches to 1.5 inches. to their original relative positions.
To keep both feet fixed to prevent accidental detachment, and to maintain the circular or elliptical area between the fixed parts 16, the tail ends 18, 20 are bent backward to the respective main body central parts of the fixed part 16 by the hook structure. provided, as shown in Figures 5a and 5b. The degree of curvature is so slight that by placing the distal point of the tail end 18,20 where it initially contacts the rider's leg, the tail end 18,20 tends to resist forces away from the wearer's torso and needs to bend outward to increase clearance 22 in size.
Thus, the curvature of the tail ends 18 and 20 such that the distal point is the first point of contact for the leg as it disengages the securing member 16 provides a means of preventing the child's ankle from accidentally falling out of the U-shaped member. In cases where the child is unable to lean forward and push part 16 in the opposite direction to widen the gap, the leg disengagement can be temporarily widened by an adult user pushing the fastening part 16 and/or the hook-shaped tail in the opposite direction. The size of the gap 22 is accomplished in a way that is slightly larger than the diameter of the child's leg.
In another preferred embodiment where the ankle fixation member 16 provides additional comfort for the rider and wearer etc., various modes of the device herein may be employed, the ankle fixation member 16 may be rotatably coupled to the fixation device 10, and as such configured fittings 17 or chest harness 12 . This ability to rotate around the securement member 16 of the child's leg during internal engagement provides a more comfortable natural biomechanical position for the child's leg. When seated on the wearer's shoulders, the child can lean slightly or moderately from vertical in a radial direction about the center of each pair of securing members 16 . This situation occurs when the rider's or child's legs are slightly angled outwardly around the wearer's head, and the knees are separated from each other by a distance greater than the relative position of the pair of bases.
Each pair of fixing parts 16 is at its joint point with the fixing device 10, rotated or pivotally combined so that they can pivot and pass through each pair of fixing parts 16 in a radial direction to arrange an axial passage, so as to conform to the child's freedom of movement. The straight line from the knee to the leg. A secure rotational or pivot joint can be accomplished by a rotational fastener 24 or similar rotational rivet and hole combination, a pivot and bearing, or other suitable rotational joint method.
FIGS. 6a and 6b show another specific preferred embodiment in which the ankle fixation component 16 additionally includes a flexible portion 26 . The flexible portion 26 can be manufactured in the manner shown in the figure, which provides additional fixation by providing a means of biasing the ends 18, 20 toward each other in a retracted or closed position, to maintain the gap 22 narrower than the child's leg or The diameter of the ankle.
The additional provision of a flexible portion 26 also means that the gap 22 can be enlarged if desired by an adult easily moving the two fixing parts 16 in opposite directions. The flexible portion 26 may be provided by folding the ankle member in accordion fashion, or by other means. For example the flexible portion 26 may be provided by flexible fabric, rubber or the like.
7 , 8 , 9 and 10 show another embodiment of the child carrying and securing device 10 in the previous mode and additionally comprising a seat assembly 30 . The seat assembly 30 can be made of a flexible and durable fabric so that the fastening device 10 can be folded and stored in a relatively small storage space. However, a fixed seating configuration may be provided for children in use mode. In other modes of securing device 10 shown in later figures, seat assembly 30 may be padded and ergonomically contoured as desired. As shown, the seat assembly 30 is coupled to the chest harness 12 with at least one shoulder strap 28 . In addition, it is preferred that the ankle member 16 is combined with the shoulder strap 28 as this configuration generally assumes a child's natural leg position on the shoulder 104 of the user, or in the alternative, the pivotable angle member can be pivoted to the fixed member 16. Use is made when the child's legs approach at an angle so that the angled engagement is made through a pair of leg securing members 16 . However, other suitable configurations are also possible and contemplated.
The seat 30 preferably includes a back strap 32 that connects the back of the seat assembly 30 to the back of the chest harness 12, but it is optional. When fastened, this limits the vertical and horizontal movement of the seat assembly 30 and will greatly increase the stability of the child on the user's shoulder seat assembly 30 . The harness 32 may also include a releasable fastener, such as a hook and loop fastener, or may be integrally formed with the seat assembly 30 and the chest harness 12 by sewing, stitching, or otherwise.
The immobilization device 10 is configured to greatly reduce the stress normally applied to the neck and back of a user when carrying a child on their shoulders, in a manner that transmits a large amount of pressure to the shoulder straps 28 and chest straps 12. with stress. This allows the adult to carry the child in one position longer and more comfortably.
Additional fixation and comfort can be provided by the fixation device 10 in the manner shown in FIGS. 11 and 12 . In Fig. 12, another specific preferred embodiment of the fastening device 10 is shown, which has a seat assembly 30 which generally has a profile 31 with a lower middle section and a tail end 42 higher in height than the middle section , or otherwise shape the ergonomics of riding a child. In this case, seat assembly 30 may be made in a saddle or other shape. It should be noted that those skilled in the art will recognize that other contours, shapes and configurations of the seat assembly 30 to provide a comfortable and ergonomic ride are contemplated. The tail end 42 is higher than the sunken midsection as it supports the lower half of the back, providing a way to prevent the child from easily falling backwards, and especially when the ankle anchorage 16 is not employed.
In addition, another preferred embodiment of the shoulder straps 28 is shown, which may be provided with a substantial amount of padding or other padding for additional comfort. Furthermore, the surface which clearly presents and preferably at least one of the shoulder straps 28 is a substantially concave surface 36 . The recessed surface 36 of the straps provides a means of engaging the legs of the child extending over the chest of the user and along the straps 28 . This is a particularly preferred embodiment because the child's legs can rest comfortably on the recessed surface 36 without any discomfort from the shoulder strap 28 protrusions. And this method provides better support when the wearer moves quickly to prevent the rider from disengaging. The recessed surface 36 may be formed by inserting a recessed planar support of polymer or plastic material into the pocket forming the harness material 15, which may be a seat belt type and formed of a weave narrow weave nylon or polyester material.
Additionally, another preferred embodiment of the ankle fixation component 16 is a releasable strap. The ankle anchorage member 16 may be padded and includes a releasable fastener 34, such as a buckle or the like, which provides a releasable secure attachment to the child's legs or ankle. Also, the ankle anchorage member 16 may be permanently or removably attached to the shoulder straps 28, respectively, by sewing or hook and loop fasteners or other suitable means.
Adjustability of the chest strap 12 in this mode is provided by an adjustment strap 38 that lengthens or shortens relative to the fixed fastener 14, such as a conventional buckle as shown. Additional applications may be to tuck or otherwise secure the ends of the adjustment straps 38 in the channel between the shoulder straps 28 and the chest straps 12 . The channels 40 may be formed by stitching or other bonding only if the shoulder straps 28 pass to the ends of the chest strap 12 and it leaves a portion of the shoulder straps 28 unbonded so that the tail ends 42 of the adjustment straps can be tucked underneath.
14。Another specific preferred embodiment of the fastening device 10 in FIGS. 12 and 13 represents a redundant secure fastening of the chest strap 12 . This mode may or may not include the ankle fixation member 16, however in any of the aforementioned modes of the fixation device 10, it is preferred to include such provisions. The tail end 42 of the adjustment strap 38 is shown to be sewn, sewn or otherwise formed into a generally T-shaped cross-section, similar to a modular light-duty equipment type strap. Therefore, after coupling the fixing fastener 14 to the chest belt 12 , the tail end of the adjustment strap 38 can be passed back through the fixing fastener 14 and plugged back to that side through the channel 40 . Therefore, the adjustment strap 38 will provide an additional method to keep the chest strap 12 in the fixedly engaged position when the fastening fastener 14 is accidentally dislodged, so that the user can re-engage the fastening fastener 14 .
Figure 14 shows a specific preferred embodiment of a shoulder rest pad or pillow type interface, which provides a seat assembly 30, which does not provide an interface between a child's buttocks, an adult and a bearer. As described in the preferred embodiment, the seat assembly 30 has a channel 54 communicating with the lower end of the seat assembly 30 so that the shoulder straps 28 (FIGS. 10 or 15) can pass through the channel 54, from the lower side, as shown in FIG. The opposite side of the side, enters and exits the seat assembly 30. On the higher side shown, there are preferably grooves 53 configured in the cushion 30 to conform to and accommodate the legs and buttocks of the child. The groove 53 allows a child to be more securely positioned on top of the seat assembly 30 , since the outer edge 55 is configured to better retain the child in the groove 53 and prevent the occupant from sliding down the seat assembly 30 . The user of the seat assembly 30 is thus in a saddle-like position and secured. This is particularly useful in situations where the user or adult is bending, running, or doing other motions that could cause a child to fall due to the force of the motion.
Figure 15 shows the device 10 as a shoulder strap carrier, such as a backpack 60 with shoulder straps 28 configured for releasable engagement (Figure 19). The ankle fixing part 16 used to fix the child's legs is detachable and connected to the shoulder strap 28 of the existing backpack 60, and is connected in a sliding manner. Attached in the presently preferred embodiment of the device 10 to which the shoulder strap 28 is attached, the clamp 43 may be attached to form the ankle fixation member 16 to which the flexible substance may be slid onto the shoulder strap 28 . The centrally located shoulder straps 28 secured by the fastening fastener 14 serve to press the clamps 43 against each other when they are connected to the straps from the outer edges. This inward bias prevents the clamps 43 from sliding off the outer edges of the shoulder straps 28, and securely holds the two ankle anchors 16 while maintaining the shoulder straps 28 at a relatively large, fixed distance from each other.
FIG. 16 shows a rear view of the pair of strap-linked flexible ankle restraint members 16 of FIG. 15 . As shown, the straps 13 and cooperating fastening fasteners 14 provide a means of enclosing and engaging the child's feet with the ankle restraint 16 . Strap 13 may be elastic to provide a biased wraparound bond if desired. As shown behind the clamp 43 , it is connected to the body of the restriction member 16 .
17-18 present a rear view of the clamp 43 and the attachment point 45 where a rivet or grommet or stitching or other method of attachment to the body of the restraining member 16 is available. At the same time a void 47 is also present which allows both ends of the strap 28 to enter the clamp 43 respectively. The components are configured to be combined with an existing shoulder strap 28, such as a backpack. Fabric binding pegs 48 will be provided inside the voids 47 to form a detachable contact with the shoulder straps 28 formed of fabric.
28。FIG. 19 shows one mode of immobilization device 10 built into a backpack 60 or other shoulder carrying device having shoulder straps 28 . In this mode of the fixture 10, the leg or ankle restraint fixture 16 provides foot fixation and can be slidably secured by rails 37 on the shoulder straps 28 and on which the pillow interface or cushions forming the seat can be placed. Or be made as the top of the backpack 60 as part of it. The collar covering the shoulder straps 28 can also be used as a sliding joint to attach the restraint fixing member 16 to the shoulder straps 28 .
