Abstract
This Invention is used to give a persons arm/shoulder better support when walking especially when carry something with one hand. It is a collar of various possible materials which is attached to hip and is held onto firmly, or person lets hand gently rests on .
Description
Specification This is a brace in the shape of a collar made from a fabric like wool nylon etc, or from a stronger yet malleable material such as leather, foam etc .Harder materials like metal wood could be used as well =
although I doubt that many would prefer these.
It is attached to the hip by several different methods but the most popular will likely be one which is detachable The reason it is attached to the hip is because the brace can now be used as a support for the hand when being held onto. Of course since the hand is attached to the arm,and the arm is attached to the shoulder these parts will also get extra support when this brace is in use. A bag or briefcase etc,can now be held onto much easier since the arm doesn't have to support its own weight anymore ,so it can its energy and strength to hold the item being carried.
There may be versions available which will have handles which are ergonomically contoured to the shape of a hand.
For the braces made with softer stretchier materials there will likely be a maximum range of motion when brace is held in hand with arm at about a 90 degree angle, with elbow resting on inside of abdomen. Brace should be fairly tight at this point.
Some versions may have ways of attaching bags directly to brace itself,so the arm wouldn't have to support bag at II,but the hand be used to help with the direction of bag as it swings.
