The National Museum of the Great Lakes welcomes all visitors to a comfortable, safe and accessible space. From our parking area to the maritime park, the Museum offers easily accessible routes and courteous staff ready to help. Due to their historical accuracy, the Col. James M. Schoonmaker Museum Ship and Museum Tug Ohio are not ADA accessible. Narrow, steep staircases are common throughout the boats and may provide difficulties in accessibility for some.

If you have special needs or requests at any point in your visit, please talk with a staff member and accommodations will be made when available and possible.  There is a wheelchair for guest use, available on a first come, first served basis.
