Rep. Tom Kean Jr. (R-Westfield) today received the support of the Republican Jewish Coalition, a national organization of Jewish Republicans.

Kean “has a proven record of mainstream conservative leadership throughout his career in public service in New Jersey,” the RJC said in a statement, and “has already distinguished himself as a leader in the fight against antisemitism as Chairman of the Europe Subcommittee of the Foreign Affairs Committee and a cosponsor of the Holocaust Education and Antisemitism Lessons (HEAL) Act.”

The RJC also endorsed a quartet of freshman New York Republicans, among them Rep. Mike Lawler (R-New York), who was a partner at the New Jersey-based campaign firm Checkmate Strategies prior to his election to Congress.

Both Kean and Lawler received the RJC’s endorsement during the 2022 cycle, and Kean also got the group’s backing during his first unsuccessful congressional run in 2020. Next year, both Kean’s and Lawler’s competitive seats are expected to be key to determining the House majority.
