Description: This training will give participants baseline knowledge when considering LGBTQ+ demographic information, population statistics, culture, outcome data, and process improvement. Participants will leave with more knowledge around LGBTQ+ community and confidence when interacting with queer patients, clients, or students.

CANCELLATION POLICY FOR LIVE VIRTUAL EVENTS
While we understand that emergencies do occur, once a participant has been registered and is expected to attend a course, the NASW-Illinois Chapter has already factored that person’s attendance into costs already absorbed by the chapter. Therefore, our cancellation policy for this continuing education offering is as follows:
• Cancellations received before the course grace period (ten minutes after course start time) are eligible for a refund MINUS the $10.00 technology fee. Refund requests received after the course grace period (10 minutes after course start time) are not eligible for refunds.
• Any no show for a course without prior cancellation notification will not be eligible for a refund nor the option to attend a future course at the absorbed cost.

CE QUALIFICATIONS: All courses offered through the NASW-Illinois Chapter meet the continuing education qualifications for LSWs, LCSWs, LPCs, LCPCs, LMFTs, RNs, LPNs, APNs, LCPs, and PELs (formerly Type 73) licensed in Illinois as required by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) and the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE).

  • EARNING CEUs FOR LIVE VIRTUAL EVENTS

    To receive the total number of CEUs, you must adhere to the following training requirements:

    1. Stay ACTIVELY engaged during the training and using your full name (first and last) in your Zoom profile. The Zoom system will keep track of your active participation, and a lack of engagement may result in deducted CEUs. There is no refund or partial refund of those receiving partial CEUs. Phone-in participation is not permitted as participants must be able to be engaged with the presenter and presentation.
    2. Completion of the post-event evaluation and examination form. Completing this form is required of all participants to receive CEUs. You have 3 business days to complete this survey at which point, late survey submissions will be subject to longer wait times for receiving CEU certificates.
