SCENE 1 | Maria is wrapping a package to send to her mother when Sonny Friendly appears with another one of his traveling game shows - this time it's "The Rhyming Game." To win, she must find two words that rhyme with "grand." Maria wants nothing to do with the game and finishes wrapping her package, remarking that it worked out better than she had planned. She still refuses to play and asks if Sonny can give her a hand tying the package. Sonny declares her the winner and that her prize also rhymes with "grand": it's a big pile of sand! A truck arrives to dump the giant mound of sand in front of the Fix-It Shop's door. |

SCENE 2 | Maria and Luis ponder what to do with the sand. Telly's idea is to get a bunch of little boxes and fill them with sand to give to all their friends. Maria and Luis don't want to do that, so Telly asks if he can have a little box of sand for himself. He begins to get some when Luis realizes he should make a big sandbox for Gabi and the others to play with in the yard. Telly thinks they will need all the sand they can get, so he puts the sand from his little box back onto the pile. |

SCENE 5 | Telly and Juliet are playing in the sand with Freddy. They imagine Freddy is climbing a mountain of sand, gets picked up by a huge flying rhinoceros, parachutes out of a plane, and gets caught in the sand. Luis comes to take the sand to the newly-built sandbox, but Telly, Juliet, and Maria tell him to wait because they can't just leave their imaginary game with Freddy stuck in the sand. Luis's solution: "And then, along came Luis and dug Freddy out of the sand with his bare hands." Luis has Freddy "ask" what he can do to repay him, and Luis says he can help fill up the sandbox. |
