SCENE 1 | Big Bird watches as the kids make themselves as small as they can, while Bob measures them with a ruler. Big Bird is able to shorten himself to about three feet, which Bob finds quite an accomplishment for a bird his size, though Big Bird thinks he isn't all that small. Bob takes the kids for a drink at Hooper's Store, when Mr. Snuffleupagus shows up to see Big Bird practicing being smaller. Snuffy considers Big Bird very small to him and they measure how small Snuffy can get. Snuffy is disappointed that he can only shorten himself to five feet, and Big Bird is reminded of his earlier conversation with Bob when he tries to assure Snuffy that he is very small. |

Big Bird assumes it's regarding his feathers, but she actually wants to know how many pieces of straw make up his nest. Big Bird rallies everybody to count the straw in his nest, and the adults start arguing over whose idea this was. |
