The new single-decker electric bus. Residents in a UK city have been left raging as new single-decker electric buses are too tall to fit under a bridge. Locals who live in the Leeman Road area of York, North Yorks., can no longer use the number 10 bus service as the vehicles can't fit under the 3.9m tall railway bridge. First Bus have introduced the electric, single-decker vehicles as the buses are too tall, the local bus route has been diverted. Holgate ward councillor Kallum Taylor says that this is "nowhere near good enough" for locals.
