Pictured here is Ieuan Crump A "sadistic" trainee medic who sexually assaulted two women patients during bogus tests was jailed for nine years today(thurs). Trainee health worker Ieuan Crump, 27, made a "no entry sign" to hang on the wall of his hospital room while he carried out the fake tests so he could abuse his victims. A court heard both women were "in pain" when they were being treated by Crump who carried out "unnecessary tests" in order to target them. Crump sexually assaulted the women by touching their vaginas, breasts and bottoms while they were being treated at an NHS hospital. Prosecutor Matthew Roberts said: "This was the most egregious, grotesque abuse of trust by somebody in a position of responsibility. "The defendant targeted both these women in the sense they were young, vulnerable, of a similar physical appearance and in obvious pain." He said both women had also been treated with opiate-based painkiller Oramorph which could lead to confusion when Crump began the fake tests. Mr Roberts said: "The defendant is sadistic and calculating. He knew these women were in considerable pain but notwithstanding targeted them for his own sexual pleasure." Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court heard Crump's first victim came on to the ward at the Grange University Hospital after having her appendix removed and complained of swelling in her stomach. But Crump used a bladder scanner to examine her bladder and groin - before taking her into a room alone where he inserted a catheter into her - something he was not trained to do. Crump unnecessarily asked the women to pull her shorts down and put her legs up when he touched her inappropriately. The second woman had been suffering with a bowel condition when Crump carried out an "intimate" vaginal examination and began examining her bottom. In a victim personal statement the woman said Crump's crimes had led to her attempting suicide on three separate occasions and had been left suffering from PTSD and anxiety. She said: "I just wanted my life to be over so I did not have to relive what was in my head about what Ieuan did to me." The other woman said she suffered flashbacks of "vivid depictions of Ieuan Crump sexually assaulting me." She added: "I struggle at just the thought of being in a room with an unknown male. The whole matter has made me untrusting of men. "It's made me think that if a healthcare worker can commit such a crime then any man can be a threat." Crump was found guilty of nine charges of sexual assault, including three counts of assault by penetration following a retrial. Marian Lewis, defending, said Crump had previously worked as a St Johns Ambulance volunteer and helped in his community before the offences. Judge Vanessa Francis jailed Crump, of Gilfach, Caerphilly, for nine years and told he must serve at least two thirds of that term behind bars. He must also sign the sex offenders register for life and was issued with restraining orders banning him from contacting his victims. Speaking after the sentence, Michael Jenkin of the Crown Prosecution Service said: ???Ieuan Crump exploited his position of power over two women when they were at their most vulnerable, for his own sexual gratification. ???His actions were an extreme breach of trust which was calculated and deliberate. ???The courage shown by the two women in giving their evidence to the jury allowed the Crown Prosecution Service to present a strong case, resulting in these convictions, and we thank them for their support.??? A nine-year-old boy became the star of his school concert appearing in a full Elvis Presley outfit - after a family mix-up over his casting role. Oscar Wilkins had been given the role of Elvis the Elf in the production performed over two days at his primary school last week . His bemused family said he had falled to mention the 'elf element' and without a suspicious mind sought a costume for the Graceland star - and only realised the error when he stepped out on stage. But instead of being all shook up, Oscar embraced his starring role and found the whole thing hilarious. And sister Jade Smith, 28, said the audience couldn't help falling in love with the obsurdity of it all. Photo released 09/12/2025

Play Video Dramatic video shows a handcuffed suspect escaping officers - by leaping onto a police van and over a wall shouting 'I?m not going back to jail'. // Dylan Harrison, 33, is seen first stepping out from the cage of a police vehicle at Ystrad Mynach police station in Wales. He had been arrested after being accused of committing domestic violence offences against a woman in Newport. In the footage, taken from a body cam belonging to one of the female officers, the police can be heard talking and stating the time - with one officer saying: "So Dylan, the time is 8:10". Before she can finish, however, Dylan starts sprinting away. The officers shout: "Get back here now!" During the pursuit, Dylan manages to jump on top of a police van. He can be heard saying: "I'm not going to jail - I'm not going back." Dylan then stands up on the police van cracking the windscreen, and jumps on top of a high wall - pulling himself over it whilst his hands are in handcuffs. He ended up breaking his lower back. When Dylan was eventually caught, he admitted escaping from lawful custody and criminal damage during the incident, which took place on 25 September. He was jailed for six months. Pictured here is Pamela Pritchard. A female police officer groped two colleagues and tried to kiss an inspector during a drunken leaving do, a misconduct hearing has been told. PC Pamela Pritchard, 29, is accused of gross misconduct for her behaviour during the bash at a rugby club where she "twerked" on the dance floor. She allegedly twice put her hands over a male officer's groin and groped a woman colleague's breasts on the night out. The officer is also accused of trying to kiss a male inspector "causing him to pull away." PC Pritchard denies breaching standards of professional behaviour and also denies gross misconduct from the bash in March 2024. A fellow cop, named only as PC B, said Pritchard groped him "out of the blue" when he was waiting to get a drink at the bar of Caernarfon Rugby Club in North Wales. He said: "PC Pritchard grabbed me below the belt and put her hand on my genitals outside my clothing". "To no extent was it appropriate ??? I felt kind of humiliated at that point." PC B told the misconduct hearing PC Pritchard repeated the action when he was outside in a smoking area. He said: "She did the same thing again. She grabbed my genitals outside my clothes and I distinctly remember her squeezing them." He said that later in the evening she sat on his knee, "I remember her putting her hand around my neck and kissing me on the lips. "It was not appropriate ??? this was in public. Her behaviour was becoming more and more unacceptable." PC Pritchard's barrister Fiona Clancy suggested PC B had been "teasing her and interfering in her love life" during the night out. The charges state: "During the evening, you made inappropriate physical contact with two colleagues, neither of whom consented to this contact, either expressly or implied. "You used insulting and inappropriate words/language towards two colleagues. "You attempted to kiss another colleague causing him to pull away from you. This was unsolicited and inappropriate."
