AEDOPHILE Michael Jones has been jailed for eight years after being convicted of raping one child and abusing a further three in Cambodia.nThe pervert was locked up after his victims testified before a Phnom Penh court that he had abused them.nWelshman Jones was brought to justice after charity Action Pour Les Enfants (APLE) snapped the paedophile strolling hand in hand with an 11-year-old girl and sitting with another child on his lap. The organisation watched him buy children gifts, give them money and take one underage girl to a rented room.n¿Phnom Penh municipal court found him guilty of purchase of child prostitution and indecent acts against a minor under 15 years,¿ APLE spokesman Vando Khoem said.n¿The court sentenced him to eight years¿ imprisonment and ordered him to pay 9mKHR compensation to his victims.¿nThat is about £1,410.n¿The court also ordered additional punishment of deportation for Michael Jones when he finishes his imprisonment,¿ Mr Khoem said.nThe 55-year-old was also pictured with half-dressed eight and nine-year-old girls and with a small child nestled on his lap.nThe images led to Jones¿ arrest on suspicion of sexually abusing girls in Cambodian capital Phnom Penh.nOne 11-year-old has made allegations to police that she was paid £3 for sex after being taken three times to a rented room by a man.nCharity Action Pour Les Enfants (APLE) took the pictures of Jones while investigating him after suspicions were raised last year.n¿On April 9, 2013, an APLE investigator commenced the investigation into Michael Jones when he was contacting two under-age Cambodian girls along the river front,¿ an APLE spokesman said.nThe children were thought to be 12 or 13.n¿Shortly afterward Michael Jones brought the same two under-age girls to a shopping centre, where APLE investigators witnessed him buying some unidentified stuff for the same two girls and he gave some money for the girls to play games.n¿After entertaining the two girls, he brought them back to their houses.¿nOn April 12, 2013, Michael Jones left Cambodia. His destination was unknown.nOn June 9 this year he returned.

A good Samaritan businessman has given jobs to a homeless couple after meeting them on the street during a night out. James Robinson, 34, was out with friends when he met the boyfriend and girlfriend who were sleeping rough on the streets.  James took pity on the couple who had fallen on "hard times" and offered to put them in a luxury hotel for the night. The chance meeting left such an impression on James that he decided to track the pair down and offer them a job.
