A motorist who called herself an 'amazing driver' has been jailed after she drunkenly smashed into a popular footballer with her car, leading him to having his leg amputated. Jordan Chiedozie, who played for Bashley FC, had pulled over to investigate a flat tyre when Anna Bogusiewicz drove her Mercedes into him while drunk. The former AFC Bournemouth player had been travelling as a passenger from Bashley's game at Tavistock with club physio Reighan Taylor in February 2025 when him and their VW Golf were crashed into. After the collision, the 31-year-old from Southampton, Hants, was put in an induced coma and lost a leg, staying in hospital for six weeks and undergoing multiple operations. Usama Al-Sari (14/08/1997) of Moorton Avenue, Manchester has been sentenced today (16 January) at Manchester Crown Court after pleading guilty to rape, sexual assault, intent to commit a sexual offence, possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, making threat to kill, and possession of a class B controlled drug. He will serve 14 years in prison and an additional eight years on license. He will also be subject to an indefinite restraining order and a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

The Prime Minister has said X need to "get their act together" amid concerns about the creation of sexualised images of adults and children by AI embedded on the social media site. Sir Keir Starmer said he backed Ofcom, which is looking into X and xAI - the firm founded by Elon Musk which created Grok - to take action against the site, and that he had asked for "all options to be on the table". It comes as a former minister urged the Government and the Labour Party to stop using the site entirely.
