Ellie Curran who had to go to the toilet "every two seconds" while on her period discovered it's because her womb is split in half. // The medical condition ? called complete bicorporeal uterus ? occurs where the uterus has a deep external indentation at the top which creates two distinct heart-shaped uterine cavities that are fully separated by a wall of tissue. Ellie Curran, 21, first started experiencing intense pain when she started her period aged 12. Alongside ?leaking? through sanitary products she has found herself unable to ?leave the house? due to the intensity of the pain ? and received a diagnosis of PMDD ? Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder ? in November 2025. Doctors removed her appendix when she was 19 due to her stomach pain but found it had not ruptured. During the surgery they found what they believed to be an extra womb and Ellie was referred to a women?s clinic. After further scans doctors ?didn?t know for sure? whether Ellie?s uterus was completely split into two ? Uterus Didelphys ? or was one uterus that had an indentation, called a Bicoporeal Uterus. Shocking pictures capture the moment a great-grandmother with dementia was forced to sleep in a hospital corridor- likened to a "warzone." Louisa Gilbert, 89, was checked into an overrun A&E department at William Harvey Hospital in Ashford, Kent, after suffering a fall at home on Wednesday (December 11). Nearby, beds filled with patients lined the emergency unit???s corridors in scenes likened to a ???warzone??? by worried relatives.

Ambulances outside the Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, as a number of NHS trusts in England have declared critical incidents which can be called when health and care services are so busy that special measures are needed to restore normal operations and keep patients safe. Picture date: Wednesday January 8, 2025. PA Photo. Around 5,000 hospital beds in England are occupied with patients with flu, and patients have been urged to attend A&E alone as they grapple with high demand amid rising cases.
