Pictured are pic Jenny Cawson and Tarig SinadaA British couple reported missing after a tourist boat sank in the Red Sea were experienced scuba divers who travelled the world living a life of adventure.Jenny Cawson, 36, and Tarig Sinada, 49, were named locally in Egypt as the two UK citizens unaccounted for after the 40 ft vessel named Sea Story sank on Monday morning.Tragedy struck when the boat - carrying 31 tourists and 13 crew members - was hit by a giant wave shortly after setting off from Porto Ghalib on a five-day diving trip.MailOnline can reveal the couple, who have been dating for around nine years, travelled the globe pursuing their passion for outdoor sports including snowboarding in the French Alps and working as diving instructors at glamorous locations around the world. The couple lived on the edge of Dartmoor in the village of Ashburton, Devon - which they used as a base as Mr Sinada took a series of breaks from his career to follow his dreams. Most recently the IT consultant began a new job in June at Tata Consultancy Services working on a government project to improve the productivity of the livestock industry. He was helping to design a platform for the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs.Following the tragedy a TCS spokesperson told MailOnline: ?The incident that took place in the Red Sea on Monday is tragic and our thoughts are with Tarig?s family and all those that have been impacted. ?We hope for his safe return, along with all other passengers.?It?s believed four Britons were on board the yacht when it sank within minutes at around 5.30am local time.Shortly after the boat capsized, 28 people, including two Britons, were rescued, with some airlifted to hospital. Five more were found alive a day later following a massive rescue operation led by Egyptian naval forces.Survivors were trapped underwater in the boat for up to 30 hours - battling for their lives in ?complete darkness? with only tiny air pockets preventing them from drowning. Two British survivors, Colin Sharratt, 65, a former housing consultant from London, and Sally Jones, 58, were rescued with most of the passengers and crew on Monday. The couple were among six rescued tourists who were treated at a hospital in Marsa Alam, along with three Egyptian men who worked on the ship.A friend who saw footage of the pair on TV after they were rescued posted a photo of them on social media and said: ?Thankfully they both survived.?Four other people were found dead inside the boat, including the captain. ?Rescue teams are continuing to search for seven people still missing, including the two Britons. It?s thought Mr Sinada and Ms Cawson first set up home in a village in Essex in 2015 after meeting on their travels.During a career of more than 20 years Mr Sinada - who has also worked for the BBC - took a year-long break in 2010 working as a freelance scuba diving instructor in Koh Tao, Thailand.According to his LinkedIn page, he took time off work to travel to Indonesia to work as an instructor with two marine conservation organisations in Indonesia. The IT consultant spent eight months from June 2013 at the Wakatobi Marine Park - which is billed as one of the world?s top diving resorts due to its spectacular coral reef chains.During the trip he also spent time at the remote Raja Ampat archipelago which has been described as ?a scuba diving heaven?.In November 2014 Mr SInada took a two-year break during which he travelled to El Nido in the Philippines and Thailand with Ms Cawson as well as Nusa Lemboingan in Indonesia.During that time Mr Sinada earned a living as a scuba diving instructor while remotely working as a freelance software developer after setting up his own company. The couple also also spent time in Courchevel where they immersed himself in winter sports.Mr Sinada wrote on LinkedIn: ?Developed software for various freelance projects on a part-time basis while also pursuing passions such as snowboarding in the French Alps and working as a scuba diving instructor in the Philippines, Indonesia and Thailand.Mr Sinada, who has aBSc in physics from Imperial College London and a MSc in astrophysics, bought a two-bedroom cottage for ?214,000 in March 2020.Mr Sinada describes himself as ?a highly motivated solution architect with a proven record of delivering industry standard solutions?.The Foreign Office said: 'We are providing consular support to a number of British nationals and their families following an incident in Egypt and are in contact with the local authorities.'
