See SWNS story SWOCturkey; Meet one turkey who won't be on the dinner table this year - Britain's toughest bird who has survived two fox attacks, dog brawls and loves picking fights with the postie. Trevor came into the Pinchin family five years ago when 'turkey mum' Lilly, then 16, secretly incubated a clutch of eggs in her bedroom. Telling her mum they they were "just chickens" she ended up with six of the boisterous birds. But three years later the entire brood - apart from Trevor - was slayed in a fox attack, earning the brave bird a place at the top of the pecking order. Another fox attack two years ago saw him disappear for two days, until he sauntered back into the farm sporting a gnarly back injury. He's also had stand offs with dogs, and loves nothing more than guarding the house, and will launch himself at unsuspecting delivery people and postmen and women. Funny CCTV videos show him chasing drivers away of back into their vans outside his home. But the white turkey really has a heart of gold, and has never hurt any of the family in Winchcombe, Gloucestershire.
