A man has died after his car was struck by a falling tree in Mauchline, East Ayrshire. The incident happened around 6.45am on Friday, 24 January, 2025 on the B743 and involved a blue Ford Focus. The driver, a 19-year-old man, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment. He died on Saturday, 25 January. Sergeant Chris McColm of the Road Policing Unit said: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died.?
