A pet rabbit has been found dumped in a cardboard box with a note attached saying: "My owner's benefit has been cut". See SWNS story SWRABBIT. The bunny was discovered covered in fleas with matted fur and abandoned in a park along with old clothes and rubbish. The five-year-old rabbit was also suffering from severely overgrown nails and a bad infection in his floppy ears, when he was found on Wednesday. A message scrawled on the box read: "Please help me, I am five years. My owner benefit has been cut". The little rabbit - nicknamed Kieren - was found in a box in Queen's Park, and taken to the Mayhew Animal Home in Kensal Green, west London.

Exterior view of the Caldmore Balti House in Walsall, West Midlands. These shocking pictures show the filthy conditions health inspectors found in a rodent-infested Indian restaurant - which included COCKROACHES in the kitchen and RAT droppings in the poppadoms. See NTI story NTIFILTH. Conditions at Caldmore Balti House in Walsall, West Mids., were so bad that the venue was closed on the spot in March last year. The rodent and cockroach-infested curry house was described as "the worst ever seen" by one public health official in her 20 year career. Restaurant owner Ibrar Hussain, 57, has now been told he could face jail because the premises caused such a dangerous risk of a "public health disaster."
