Pictured is war veteran Roy Pugh who has been left housebound for almost a year after the powers that be said he was ineligible for a ramp outside his home. See Ross Parry copy RPYHOUSEBOUND : Concerned pals at the Royal British Legion even gave Roy Pugh a mobility scooter to help him get out and about, but he can't use it unless the ramp is installed. Former sericeman Roy - who served with the army in North Korea for six years and as a reservist for nine years - has been unable to leave his home, after a debilitating heart attack and a stroke in January left him stuggling to walk. His frail condition also means he is unable to get down the steps at the front and the back of his home. Roy said had been asking the local authority for months to build a ramp outside his bungalow, but had been told he was not housebound because he was able to get out of the door.
