Whether you believe in astrology or not, a new study has shown just how big an impact a person’s star sign can have on how they travel.
In an O2 survey of 3,000 Brits, Geminis stood out as the most independent, with around two in five (42%) having taken a solo holiday, compared to just 34% of cautious Capricorns.
Geminis were also most likely to forget important travel documents or money (34%) and be hit with luggage charges due to overpacking (32%), along with being the least likely to disconnect from family and friends while abroad (13%).
Meanwhile, a whopping 8% of those born under the zodiac’s most spontaneous sign, Aries, admitted they’d booked a trip on the day of departure — double the rate for organised Virgos.
It makes sense then, that nearly half of the UK public say astrological alignment is important when choosing who to travel with.
But to dig deeper into where in the cosmos you should go, the mobile network has teamed up with astrologer Helena Hathor for her European holiday horoscope recommendations.
‘While astrocartography — which maps your birth chart across the globe — offers the most personalised insight, these destinations are carefully chosen to meet the core emotional, physical and spiritual needs of each zodiac sign, creating deeply memorable and soul-nourishing travel experiences,’ she tells Metro.
Better still, since they apply to Sun, Moon or Rising signs, there are a multiple options for each of you to add to your 2026 to-visit list.

Aries: Interlaken, Switzerland
Ruled by the 1st house of action and drive, Aries needs travel that feels energising and achievement-oriented.
Interlaken’s mountains, skiing and adventure sports satisfy the sign’s need to move, push limits and feel physically alive, while the Alpine setting also activates their 9th-house urge to explore landscapes that feel expansive and inspiring.
Taurus: Santorini, Greece
Taurus is ruled by the 2nd house of luxury, pleasure and comfort, making Santorini in Greece an ideal match.
This sign wants travel to feel indulgent and beautiful, with exceptional food, breathtaking views and an unhurried pace that allows them to fully relax and savour the experience.
Gemini: Florence, Italy
Gemini is governed by the 3rd house of learning and curiosity, but its 9th house (which impacts travel) is ruled by Capricorn — meaning Gemini wants to feel like they’ve truly travelled somewhere meaningful.
Florence offers deep cultural immersion through art, history and architecture, satisfying Gemini’s mental stimulation while also delivering that sense of having explored somewhere rich, historic and significant.
Cancer: Lake Garda, Italy
Ruled by the 4th house of home, comfort and emotional security, Cancer thrives in destinations that feel nurturing.
Lake Garda’s calming waters, charming towns and slower pace create a sense of safety and warmth, allowing Cancer to rest, reconnect and feel emotionally held while travelling.
Leo: Berlin, Germany
Leo rules the 5th house of fun, creativity and self-expression, so a party holiday is likely to be right up their alley.
Berlin’s nightlife, music scene and unapologetic individuality allow Leo to play, perform and be fully seen, making it a destination that feeds their confidence and love of excitement.
Virgo: San Sebastián, Spain
Virgo is connected to the 6th house of detail, wellbeing and refinement — and for this sign, the devil really is in the details.
San Sebastián’s world-class culinary scene appeals to Virgo’s appreciation for precision, quality and craftsmanship, offering a holiday that feels both indulgent and thoughtfully curated.
Libra: Paris, France
Ruled by the 7th house of romance, beauty and shared experiences, Libra is naturally drawn to Paris.
The city’s art, fashion, elegance and romantic atmosphere provide the perfect backdrop for Libra to feel inspired, connected and aesthetically fulfilled.
Scorpio: Amsterdam, Netherlands
Scorpio governs the 8th house of the underworld, transformation and taboo.
Amsterdam’s hidden alleyways, underground culture and layered history speak directly to Scorpio’s desire to explore what lies beneath the surface, making it a destination that feels intense, intriguing and deeply compelling.
Sagittarius: Amalfi Coast, Italy
Sagittarius is ruled by the 9th house of travel, expansion and meaning, and this sign wants holidays to feel big, worldly and a little extravagant.
The Amalfi Coast delivers sweeping views, dramatic landscapes and a sense of luxury that makes Sagittarius feel like they’re living a grand, elevated travel experience rather than just taking a trip.
Capricorn: Capri, Italy
Ruling the 10th house of prestige and excellence, with its 9th house of exploration and trips in Virgo, Capricorn is extremely particular about travel.
The aptly-named Capri offers five-star hotels, exclusivity, impeccable detail and a sense of refinement that aligns perfectly with Capricorn’s desire for the best of the best and holidays that feel polished, intentional and worthy of their time.
Aquarius: Norwegian Fjords, Norway
Aquarius rules the 11th house of the future, the unconventional and the extraordinary, while the Northern Lights is an almost unworldly, futuristic experience — something that feels alien, other-dimensional and completely unique.
Seeing this once-in-a-lifetime phenomenon perfectly mirrors Aquarius’ love of the unusual, the cosmic and the unknown.
Pisces: Lake Bled, Slovenia
Pisces is ruled by the 12th house of retreat, healing and spiritual renewal. Lake Bled’s misty waters and dreamlike landscape create a sense of escape from the everyday world, allowing Pisces to surrender, reflect and reconnect with their inner
