Deep regrets, revelations that could annihilate a family and the toxic affects of domestic abuse mar the legendary cobbles next week in Coronation Street as three residents are crumbling under the weight of huge secrets.
While Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) was hoping she could leave her grief-and-drug fuelled night with Mal Roper (Tim Treloar) behind here, she’s sorely disappointed when Mal appears in the Rover’s.
Elsewhere, Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard) is determined to do the right thing (for a change) and admits to Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) that he was the one driving the car that proved to be the catalyst for the Corriedale pile up that claimed the life of Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank), while Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) is completely floored when Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce), raw from the constant torture from his abusive boyfriend, Theo Silverton (James Cartwright), tears her a new one.
Can’t wait? Don’t worry, I’ve got a few cheeky hors d’oeuvres to tide you over until next weeks main course. Tuck in, huns!

As barmaid of the century, Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton), keeps the punters happy, Bernie takes the opportunity to confront Mal while her husband, Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin), is distracted with the entire lack of drinks Lauren is providing.
Terrified that he’ll reveal all about their drug-fuelled night together, Mal seemingly settles her fears, calmly telling her that, while he needs to stick around for the time being for work, he’ll soon be gone and, in the meantime, will stay out of her way.
Bernie seems content with what she’s heard, but can she trust Mal?

Debbie desperately intercepts Carl as he looks to put things right and admit to the police that he was driving the night of the crash, not Debbie, admitting to her that he framed her, but he’s stopped in his tracks when she announces that she’s know all along.
As she begs and pleads for him to let her protect him, he remains determined to come clean.

After a distracted Todd nearly spills two coffees on David Platt (Jack P Shepherd), he’s met by Sarah, who politely enquires as to how Todd will be paying the sponsorship money he promised her young son, Harry, for completing a walk.
Financially destroyed after Theo took control of his finances, Todd is alarmed as Sarah asks for the money to be paid sooner rather than later and, unable to take any more, snaps at her before scarpering.
