It’ll come as no surprise that the first series of The Celebrity Traitors has been dubbed the TV moment of the year, and the final is now just days away.

The BBC reality series, which has aired three civilian seasons since starting in 2022, features a batch of famous-faced contestants competing for a massive cash prize.

Players build up their money pot by completing gruelling tasks while a group of Traitors hide among the Faithfuls, aiming to trick and even ‘murder’ their way to the jackpot.

This being the celebrity version, the cash pot is for charity, and some of the famous faces are even friends in the real world, but that hasn’t stopped the betrayals and subterfuge (Alan Carr killing off BFF Paloma Faith in plain sight, we’re looking at you).

We’re now at the tail end of the series, with only one of the three Traitors, Jonathan Ross, successfully identified and banished.

However, players are hot on the heels of comedian Alan and singer Cat Burns, who are in the final stretch of their deceitful mission and within touching distance of the cash—provided they can avoid banishment.

While we’ll all be gutted to say goodbye to this series, we’re sure the Celeb Traitors final will be a nationwide occasion. So, when is it? And how can you watch?

The BBC has confirmed that the finale episode of the first season of The Celebrity Traitors will be broadcast on Thursday, November 6, at 9pm on BBC One and iPlayer.

A description teases: ‘The celebrities have been playing for the chance to win up to £100,000… but will the Faithful banish all of the Traitors to secure victory, or will the Traitors manage to deceive until the bitter end?’

Only 19 contestants entered the Celebrity Traitors—three fewer than the 22 who start each civilian series—which means this version of the show has been slightly shorter.

The finale of Celebrity Traitors will be just the ninth episode of the series, while all three seasons of the civilian versions of the show have produced 12 episodes.

What can we expect from the Celebrity Traitors finale?

The BBC has promised that the Celebrity Traitors finale will be 70 minutes in length, which is an extra 10 minutes longer than the previous eight episodes, meaning they aren’t scrimping on the drama.

And, of course, the one thing we all want to do after the final is catch a glimpse of the fallout.

So, you’ll be pleased to hear that, straight after the last episode airs, fans will be treated to a special extended episode of spin-off show The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked across both BBC Two and BBC Sounds.

Host Ed Gamble will be joined by the all-star cast, the finalists, and series presenter Claudia Winkleman, as they recover from the events that occurred in the Scottish castle and get everything off their chest.

Can you watch it in the cinema?

We weren’t exaggerating when we said the Celebrity Traitors final was going to be a momentous occasion, because it is, quite literally, being shown in cinemas.

The Mockingbird Cinema in Birmingham is among those offering a screening, with tickets costing £5 and a welcome shot available on arrival to get the vibes flowing. What’s more, all profits will be donated to a homeless support service.

Meanwhile, the Light in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, will be airing the final for free, and Woolwich Works will host a screening with the chance to win free drinks in a ‘life or death game’.

Finally, the Light in Brighton will also screen the show’s finale.

But that’s not all, as select pubs will also be putting their Traitors cloaks on and showing the final in their venues, such as The Red Lion, Leytonstone.

Plenty of other Traitors fans are organising their own watch parties for the night, so why not take charge in your group chat?

Paloma Faith was the first big name to be removed from the show after being murdered by the Traitors. Well, by bestie Alan.

Afterwards, YouTuber Niko Omilana was banished by the Faithfuls despite being one himself, as they became suspicious of his behaviour.

In episode 3, the Traitors quickly set about ticking more Faithfuls off the list, murdering Olympic gold medalist Tom Daley overnight after he started putting pieces together.

And during a dramatic roundtable at the end of the third episode, EastEnders actress Tameka Empson was banished after being mistaken for a Traitor by her fellow Faithfuls.

Soon after, the Traitors struck again, murdering Ruth Codd, who was asking too many questions about Jonathan Ross. That night, the contestants voted to banish Clare Balding.

This sadly also allowed the traitors to kill Charlotte Church, and then, in what has been described as the best roundtable in the show’s history, Mark Bonnar was eliminated during a tense tie-breaker game.

Comedian Joe Wilkinson was the next Faithful to be bumped off in the night, while famous brainbox Sir Stephen Fry became the fifth star to be banished from the castle.

The following episodes saw the murder of comedian and devout Faithful Lucy Beaumont, plus the shock ousting of Jonathan after his Traitor status was uncovered. This also meant Alan and Cat stabbing him in the back… but will it be their own downfall?

Just before the finale, acting legend Celia Imrie was murdered in plain sight, again by Alan, in dramatic fashion, before broadcaster Kate Garraway was banished, having been launched into the firing line with her shoddy theories and lack of suspicion.

So, that means our finalists are Alan and Cat, who are still going strong as devious Traitors. However, rugby ace Joe Mahler is hot on their heels.

He’ll be hoping to secure votes from fellow surviving Faithfuls Nick Mohammed and David Olusoga to reveal their identities and prevent them from stealing the cash…
