Commoner Andrew Mountbatten Windsor told paedophile Jeffrey Epstein he wants to ‘catch up in person’ months after the disgraced financier was released from prison.

In newly released emails, the former Prince was in contact with Epstein after he served a jail sentence for prostituting minors.

He told Epstein in April 2010 – just nine months after the billionaire’s release – he would ‘drop by’ to meet up with him in New York.

Mr Mountbatten Windsor wrote: ‘I’ll look and see if I can make a couple of days before the summer. It would be good to catch up in person.’

Epstein forwarded the emails to American banker Jes Staley, who was banned from holding senior financial roles in 2023 after he misled the Financial Conduct Authority overthe nature of his relationship with the paedophile.

The emails were unsealed yesterday from a 2023 court battle between the US Virgin Islands, where Epstein owned a private island, and JP Morgan.

Victim Virginia Giuffre’s family, who claims she had sex with Mr Mountbatten Windsor on three occasions after being trafficked by Epstein and his accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell, have called for a further investigation into the former Prince.

Ms Giuffre sued him in 2021 and the case was settled outside of court for a sum believed to have been £12 million.

Her autobiography detailing her interactions with Andrew was released posthumously this month after she died by suicide earlier this year.

It is understood that although Mr Windsor denies the accusations, Buckingham Palace consider that there have been ‘serious lapses of judgment’.

The disgraced royal, who had agreed to stop using his titles after ongoing pressure due to his links with Epstein, has had them taken from him to ensure that the title cannot be used officially.

He ‘will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor’, Buckingham Palace said in a statement on Thursday.

Sandbanks residents have instructed lawyers to take legal action after a 'public' beach behind a row of multi-million mansions was fenced off in an apparent 'land-grab'. For decades people have enjoyed unrestricted access to the sandy foreshore on the northern side of the exclusive peninsula in Poole Harbour, Dorset. It is a favourite spot for dog walkers, sea swimmers and paddlers and for those taking in a sunset stroll.
