Labour and Reform have claimed important victories in the UK local elections, as our map shows who has won in each area.
Voters across England went to the polls yesterday on the biggest day for politics since last year’s general election.
Among the contests were 23 local authorities, six mayoral races, and one seat in parliament.
Reform has won the Runcorn and Helsby by-election, taking one of Labour’s safest seats in a major blow to Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.
But Labour managed to hold onto the Doncaster and West of England mayor positions despite strong competition from rivals.
Former Conservative MP Dame Andrea Jenkyns claimed the Greater Lincolnshire mayoral race for her new party Reform.

But in several parts of England, local elections were set to take place yesterday until a controversial move by the Labour government.
In February, Angela Rayner announced votes in East Sussex, West Sussex, Essex, Thurrock, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Norfolk, Suffolk and Surrey would be delayed by a year.
This was to allow major reorganisations to take place, as district councils are merged with county councils in these areas to create unitary authorities.
The government argued the delay would mean money is not wasted electing members to bodies that would be scrapped soon afterwards – but the move was slammed by the Liberal Democrats and Reform UK.
