Erroneous destination

Hi, someone sent a MassMessage destination in the Wikisource:Scriptorium page on the French wikisource. But that page is actually made of monthly pages, so it should have been sent to the fr:Wikisource:Scriptorium/Octobre 2023 page instead. I did the transfer, but please fix this if other messages are planned in the future. Seudo (talk) 16:38, 18 October 2023 (UTC)

Thanks for the transfer and for the note here! You can find out which delivery list was used in a MassMessage by looking at the wikitext for the original message, which always ends with a hidden HTML-comment that links to the page used; in this case it was from User:SGill (WMF)/lists/WS VPs, which I think I've now fixed by copying from a working version elsewhere. Remove Swedish Wikinews

Please remove the Swedish Wikinews from the wikis that receive massmessages. This Wiki is inactive since August 2013 and it have ended up in just clustering wn:Pressrummet. // Kakan spelar (talk) 16:37, 19 October 2024 (UTC)

Tagalog Wiktionary Announcements

Currently, mass messages are forwarded to wikt:tl:Wiktionary:Kapihan, can it be moved somewhere instead? I can create a page if wanted. Ysrael214 (talk) 14:53, 23 April 2025 (UTC)

Hi @Ysrael214. Yes, you/that wiki's community can choose where announcements are sent. Please do help out, by editing the target list(s) directly, so that they use the location you want!

It's a bit complicated because it's all a crowd-sourced-effort, and the listings are used for a wide variety of types of announcement (some very important for local folks to see, and some less important or just of interest to a specific group/role/etc), and so there isn't a formally maintained (nor forced) complete listing, but instead there's a bunch of individually maintained listings.

TLDR: if you check each of these pages - search for Kapihan prefix:"Distribution list" - and update each of them as desired, that should cover most of it. For any messages that still arrive at the old location, you'll need to check the wikitext-source to see which distribution-list was used (it's always mentioned in a hidden comment at the end of the post). Test wiki subscriptions

Should test wikis (on the Incubator, Beta Wikiversity or Old Wikisource) be allowed to subscribe to mass messages? Currently most of them have little to no activity, and the messages are pretty much the only thing happening there. (Examples: [1] [2] [3]). And they're not even getting translations. I feel like those places should only be able to receive messages at the central discussion pages. The test wikis can get subscriptions of their own once they're imported to standalone projects. Concerning that there is no -bot suffix

Revisão da Política de bloqueio para IPs

Prezados administradores,

Venho respeitosamente solicitar a revisão do bloqueio aplicado à minha conta, bem como orientação quanto à possibilidade de restauro do conteúdo que desenvolvi em minha página de testes.

Após revisar atentamente as políticas da Wikipédia, compreendo plenamente que a enciclopédia não é uma plataforma de autopromoção, e que todos os artigos devem atender aos critérios de notoriedade, verificabilidade e utilização de fontes secundárias independentes e confiáveis, conforme estabelecido pelas diretrizes oficiais.

Reconheço também que, por estar escrevendo sobre mim mesmo, existe uma situação de potencial conflito de interesse. Entendo agora que, nesses casos, o procedimento mais adequado é propor melhorias e desenvolver o conteúdo em páginas de testes, permitindo que editores independentes revisem e avaliem a adequação enciclopédica, em vez de publicar diretamente no domínio principal.

Gostaria de destacar que meu objetivo foi estruturar o conteúdo de forma técnica e compatível com o padrão enciclopédico, utilizando corretamente a predefinição de infocaixa de artista, organização em seções enciclopédicas, categorização apropriada e formatação em conformidade com o manual de estilo. Minha intenção sempre foi seguir o modelo enciclopédico, e não utilizar a plataforma para fins promocionais.

Caso o conteúdo ainda não atenda plenamente aos critérios de notoriedade exigidos, compreendo e respeito essa avaliação. Nesse caso, solicito apenas a possibilidade de manter o conteúdo em minha página de testes ou espaço de usuário, exclusivamente para fins de desenvolvimento, aprendizado e adequação futura às diretrizes.

Também reafirmo meu compromisso de respeitar integralmente todas as políticas da Wikipédia daqui em diante, incluindo:

• Não recriar conteúdo eliminado sem consenso • Utilizar apenas fontes independentes e verificáveis • Evitar qualquer uso promocional da plataforma • Respeitar os processos editoriais e decisões da comunidade

Peço gentilmente a reconsideração do bloqueio aplicado, pois minha intenção é contribuir de forma construtiva e aprender a utilizar a plataforma corretamente, em conformidade com suas normas e princípios.
