I am submitting my candidacy for the role of Steward to further support the global Wikimedia community. I have been an active editor since 2004, bringing over two decades of contribution to the movement and the same time gaining a fair amount of satisfactions and the pleasure to meet real people on several occasions. Between 2007 and 2016, I served as a Steward for nearly ten years before stepping down in good standing to take a personal hiatus.

Since I returned to active participation, I have focused on both local wiki patrolling and cross-wiki coordination. I currently serve as an Administrator and Bureaucrat on the Italian Wikipedia, as well as on Meta-Wiki coordination project and I am a sysop on simple.wikipedia.

Since October 2024, I have held the Global Sysop flag. While this role allows me to address immediate issues across smaller wikis, I have frequently encountered sophisticated cross-wiki spam and vandalism that require the additional technical tools, such as checkuser on login.wiki and global blocking/locking permissions, available only to Stewards.

My previous decade of service as a Steward might ensure you about my ability to handle sensitive tasks with neutrality and care. If elected, I intend to apply my "re-acquired" experience and my long-standing knowledge of Wikimedia policy and MediaWiki software to protect our projects from disruption and support communities that lack local high level permissions like oversight.

I look forward to your feedback and I am available to answer to your questions. Thank you, M/ (talk) 21:28, 22 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
