Event:Queering Wikipedia Conference 2025

The Queering Wikipedia Conference brings together LGBTQ+ individuals and allies from around the world. Through Wikimedia’s sister projects, we aim to strengthen global connections within the LGBTQ+ community. This year, QW took place online on 24–25 October 2025.
The conference was livestreamed on the Wikimedia LGBT+ YouTube channel, where you can watch the recordings.
Queering Wikipedia 2025 is here—come and share ideas, experiences, and knowledge with a global community!
Previous editions

The Queering Wikipedia initiative began in 2019, with the first global conference originally planned for 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event moved online. To sustain community engagement, the QW Working Days were introduced in 2021. The QW2023 Conference was a milestone, offering a fully hybrid format that enabled worldwide participation and made the event more inclusive and accessible to all.
