Volunteers are the backbone of all we do—the force multipliers who help our team grow from serving hundreds to thousands of hot, nutritious meals. Whether you’re a professional chef, a home cook, a mechanic, or simply willing to lend a hand, there’s a meaningful place for you at Mercy Chefs

Getting Started
Where Do I Sign Up?
To join our volunteer team, simply click the button below, share a little about yourself, and explore opportunities to serve in your area.
When disaster strikes, we send out email alerts. While Mercy Chefs cannot provide overnight lodging, if you’re able to secure accommodations, we’d love to have you join us on the ground.
Serving with Us
What To Expect
Before your shift, please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and pull back long hair (preferably under a hat). Bring a water bottle and anything else you may need during your shift. When you arrive, look for our check-in station, where an on-site Volunteer Coordinator will welcome you. You’ll check in and receive a volunteer go-bag, which includes a t-shirt in your size. You can also use the drawstring bag to store personal items (e.g., phone, water bottle) while serving.
If you’re with a group, please ensure each person signs up for a shift through our system so spots are reserved accurately. (Please note: Volunteers must be at least 10 years old to serve onsite.) For any questions, please email us at volunteer@mercychefs.com.
