Food Insecurity Response

Over 44 million Americans, including 13 million children, struggle with food insecurity.

The USDA defines this as the lack of consistent access to enough food for an active, healthy life due to limited household resources.

Yet every U.S. county has individuals facing hunger. At Mercy Chefs, we believe no family should ever go to bed hungry. While disaster relief is at our core, we’re committed to addressing food insecurity through practical support.

In the wake of COVID-19 and rise of food insecurity, we launched our Family Grocery Box program.

As grocery prices rise, so does the need. Through this program, we have distributed groceries to millions of disaster victims and low-income households across Texas, Tennessee, Virginia, Florida, Oklahoma, and beyond.

Each grocery box is packed with pantry staples, fresh produce, protein, and simple, budget-friendly recipesenough to prepare up to 50 meals—empowering families to gather around the table with dignity and comfort.

These groceries are changing lives, and we’re working to reach even more people in need.

For just $50, you can help deliver a Family Grocery Box and restore a sense of normalcy to families facing disaster and hardship.
