Disaster Relief & Long-Term Recovery
When disaster strikes, Mercy Chefs is there.
We provide hot, chef-prepared meals and clean drinking water to victims, volunteers, and first responders in the aftermath of natural disasters and emergencies. Since our founding, we have served over 30 million meals and responded to more than 220 disasters in 33 U.S. states and territories and 33 countries.
Our six fully equipped mobile kitchens are able to serve up to 20,000 meals per day.
Strategically positioned to deploy at a moment’s notice, these mobile kitchens are self-sustaining, equipped to operate without power, and capable of purifying drinking water on-site. This allows our team to serve in even the most devastated communities where needs are urgent.
Behind every meal is a chef with unwavering commitment, even in the toughest conditions.
In disaster zones, where supply shortages and equipment failures are common, our chefs press forward to prepare nourishing meals made with love and care.
Whether responding to hurricanes, floods, or even war, our experienced team offers more than food; we bring hope, strength, and dignity.
"Something amazing happens over a shared meal."
We take this statement by our Founder, Chef Gary LeBlanc, to heart. At Mercy Chefs, we aim to provide comfort and a sense of normalcy to those facing unimaginable loss, often on the worst day of their lives.
For us, it’s never just about the numbers; it’s about reaching the one in their moment of greatest need with a meal that reminds them that they are not forgotten.
