I have to search through past comments and posts to cobble together any info and the Piefed websites, tech descriptions from other sites or anywhere are all very generic and just say it's a fediverse software similar to Reddit and Lemmy.
I don't want people to completely dox themselves and expose themselves online if they don't want to ... but at the same time I want to know who the people are that working on the software I want to support. I want to know the people and their organization. I dug around the internet and found the main Piefed developer Rimu Atkinson and he seems like a very decent person.
I guess what I am asking is ... it would be nice to have a central place of information for Piefed. A description of its history, how it came about, when it started, who the people are that are making it happen, how many of them there are. If you guys are worried about corporate espionage, a public blog wouldn't make any difference because these big corporations already have detailed profiles on everyone as it is ... it's just not public.
The thing about public easy to read and quick information site descriptions, articles and stories about people and their work is very informative for us who are new to your community. I had to really do a lot of digging and reading about Piefed over several months (not because it took me that long but because I just did it in my spare time, wasn't terribly interested and it took a lot of coaxing on my part to look things up). If I was unsure and I wanted to know this history but I had to look up this info on my own ... there are probably many more people out there who just wouldn't bother and pass over Piefed because they just don't know, can't find out and don't want to be bothered searching for the info.
It's just basic marketing and communications .... if people don't know you, your work or what you're about ... most people won't take the time to research it all and just won't bother with it. If there is an easy place to just read up on all this stuff in a few hundred words, a photo or two even, then people would feel a lot more comfortable about wanting to try Piefed. by  Ininewcrow@piefed.careason: Deleted by mod |

You need to get your head out of your ass. A quick fly-over of your post/comment history show a self-absorded, self-victimizing egoistic child. You do not take responsibility for your mistakes, and instead blame your neuro-divergence, and/or gender identity troubles for your shortcomings.
In my experience, people who have absolutely no one are directly responsible for their situation and have been pushing people away for years. Depression will do that to some. I'll tell you a secret tho... The people who love you will always find a way to forgive when faced with someone who truly wants to be forgiven. Love and close relationships are hard work and demand humility, and vulnerability.
Trying to blame your neglectful childhood for being an inconsiderate roommate is just childish. Just get the fuck up, and respect the fact that you are living with other people. No therapist is going to magically turn you into a decent cohabitant.
Therapy isn't going to help you if you constantly lie to yourself. Meds without good therapy is only going to delay, slow the mental decay, but will not solve it. There is so much that should be done by you before spending thousands of dollars.
You have a car, and some money. You have access to mental health care. You are already doing better than hundreds of millions of people!
You might have lost a roof, but the situation you were in sounds very unhealthy. What was so important about it?
I think you need to ask yourself what is it you truly want. Then you will be able to start thinking about what you can actually do in order to get there.

Also, in terms of the overarching theme you're engendering, the idea that Tibetans do not experience oppression or persecution, here's a summary of most of the ways in which that provably isn't true.

-political imprisonment,
-torture and deaths in custody,
-restrictions on religion,

-forced relocation of nomads,
-environmental displacement,
-economic discrimination allegations,
-coercive labor allegations,
-restrictions on travel and foreign access.
Many of these same allegations can be levied at governments such as the Americans; but to differing proportions and often historical rather than modern contexts (excluding Trump).
However, rather than one being preferred, it is my opinion that any immoral and unethical system of government does not deserve the support of the people. The fact that you're trying to garner support for just another form of tyranny is at the least concerning and at the most likely duplicitous and an attempt at manipulation from said government itself.
