When it comes to internet speed, North America has some of the fastest and also slowest internet connections in the world. In a ranking published by Cable.co.uk, the United States (136.5 Mbps), Canada (136.1 Mbps) and the Cayman Islands (125.1 Mbps) are the only North American countries represented in global top 20.

The slowest internet connections in North America can be found in Cuba (4.1 Mbps), Haiti (10.8 Mbps) and the Dutch overseas territory of Sint Maarten (16.0 Mbps). Interestingly, the French overseas territory of Saint Martin (which is on the same island), has an average broadband speed of 43.4 Mbps.
