Lac Seul is proud to announce the Community Transit Coordinator for Lac Seul Transit. Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Economic Development, the Community Transit Coordinator will oversee the day-to-day operations of Lac Seul Transit, ensuring safe, reliable, and accessible transportation services for community members. This role combines transit operations, community engagement, data reporting, and administrative responsibilities to support the growth and success of the transit program. The coordinator will act as the primary point of contact for riders, work closely with drivers and partners, and promote transportation initiatives that improve quality of life across Lac Seul First Nation communities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Transportation Management, or a related field (equivalent experience may be considered).
- Certification or training in project management, transportation operations, or community planning is an asset.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse populations.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); familiarity with scheduling software, GIS mapping tools, or transit management systems is an asset.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a commitment to equity, accessibility, and community service.
- Ability to work occasional evenings/weekends for community events.
- Clean Driver’s Abstract demonstrating safe driving history.
- Valid Class G driver’s license (Class B or C with air brakes considered an asset).
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
SALARY:
TERM: Full-time
HOURS: 35 hours per week (flexible hours)
LOCATION: Frenchman’s Head, Ontario
