JDCA Endorsed Candidates

JDCA endorses candidates who share our Jewish and Democratic values. Every race is unique and we consider each race on its own merits. In general, JDCA’s endorsement process considers many factors, such as the size of the Jewish population and the extent to which Jewish voters can impact the outcome of the election; whether candidates face strong challengers; and the candidates’ positions on issues of concern to Jewish voters and JDCA.

Arizona
Rep. Yassamin Ansari (AZ-03)
Rep. Yassamin Ansari is the former Vice Mayor of Phoenix and has served as the U.S. representative for Arizona's 3rd Congressional District since 2025. She is the first Iranian American elected to public office in Arizona and the youngest woman ever elected to the Phoenix City Council. She worked as an advisor in the Executive Office of the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, as deputy political director for the Global Climate Action Summit, and as senior policy advisor to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. Her priorities include climate action, reproductive rights, and affordable college. She is a steadfast advocate for a two-state solution and believes the United States has a “critical responsibility” to help broker a solution free from the threat of violence. JDCA endorsed Rep. Ansari in 2024.
Rep. Greg Stanton (AZ-04)
Rep. Greg Stanton was first elected to Congress in 2018 and currently serves as the U.S. representative for Arizona’s 4th Congressional District. Prior to his Congressional election, Stanton served for six years as the Mayor of Phoenix, where he focused on cutting carbon emissions and promoting LGBTQ+ equality. He also served on the Phoenix City Council. In Congress, Rep. Stanton has led efforts to protect the climate, focusing largely on water and climate resiliency. He is also a vocal supporter of LGBTQ+ rights and prominently champions the Equality Act. He supports promoting peace and security through the Abraham Accords, noted the benefits of the U.S.-Israel relationship for Arizona, and has voted to pass legislation affirming Israel’s right to protect itself at every turn. JDCA endorsed Rep. Stanton in 2018, 2020, 2022, and 2024.
Gov. Katie Hobbs (AZ-Gov)
Governor Katie Hobbs is a proven defender of democracy. Prior to being elected governor in 2022, she served as Arizona’s secretary of state and stood up to Trump and Republican efforts to overturn the 2020 election in Arizona. Hobbs also previously served in the State House and Senate, where she rose to Senate Minority Leader and championed expanding Medicaid, increasing access to healthcare, strengthening public education, and protecting voting rights. As governor, she has prioritized safeguarding reproductive freedom, promoting racial equity, expanding economic opportunities, and defending democracy against extremist attacks. Her background as a social worker helping women and families in crisis grounds her leadership in compassion and a deep understanding of community needs. JDCA endorsed Governor Hobbs in 2022 and for her candidacy in 2026.
Kris Mayes (AZ-AG)
Kris Mayes is running for reelection as Arizona’s Attorney General. First elected in 2022, Mayes beat her Republican opponent by just 0.01% of the vote – one of the closest races in Arizona’s history. She is the second woman elected as Arizona Attorney General and the second openly LGBTQ+ person elected to statewide office in Arizona. Her key areas of advocacy include defending reproductive rights, addressing the fentanyl crisis, protecting seniors and children, and fighting the climate crisis. Mayes is a staunch advocate for fighting antisemitism and extremism in Arizona. Prior to serving as Attorney General, Mayes was a professor at Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law and chair of the Arizona Corporation Commission.
California
Rep. Pete Aguilar (CA-33)
Pete Aguilar has represented California’s 33rd District since 2015 and has served as the chair of the House Democratic Caucus since 2023. He is the highest-ranking Latino in Congress. Aguilar previously served as the mayor of Redlands, CA, from 2010 to 2014 and as the president of the Inland Empire Division of the League of California Cities. Aguilar’s time in Congress has focused on immigration, job creation, gun violence prevention, reproductive freedom, and environmental protection. The San Bernardino attack in 2015, where terrorists killed 14 people and injured 22, occurred in Aguilar’s district, and Aguilar denounced Trump’s use of the attack to promote his Muslim ban. He has also reiterated his continued support for Israel, standing with those affected by the October 7 attack.
Rep. Gil Cisneros (CA-31)
Rep. Gil Cisneros is a former naval officer, Under Secretary of Defense, Los Angeles County Congressmember, and education leader. The son of a public school cafeteria worker and Vietnam veteran, he dedicated his career to public service and enlisted in the Navy after high school. After purchasing a winning California Mega Millions lottery ticket in 2010, he dedicated himself to philanthropy and established scholarships to ensure tuition costs were not a barrier to educational opportunities in his community. He ran for Congress during Trump’s presidency and championed gun safety reform, reproductive rights, and climate action. In 2021, he was appointed Under Secretary of Defense for President Biden. In 2024, he ran for California’s 31st Congressional District, which he won. Rep. Cisneros traveled to Israel on a Congressional trip, where he saw the importance of taking steps to achieve a sustainable two-state solution. Following October 7, Cisneros condemned the Hamas attack and emphasized his support for the Israeli people. JDCA endorsed Rep. Cisneros in 2020 and in 2024.
Rep. Laura Friedman (CA-30)
Rep. Laura Friedman was first elected to Congress in 2024. Prior, she was a State Assembly member and former Glendale Mayor. Throughout her career, she has authored legislation to expand affordable housing, combat climate change, and strengthen the healthcare system. In Congress, she is a key advocate for affordable housing, access to clean water, gun control, reproductive rights, and workers’ rights. The district encompasses Burbank, Glendale, Hollywood, West Hollywood, Edendale, Tujunga, and part of Pasadena. JDCA endorsed Rep. Friedman in 2024.
Rep. Adam Gray (CA-13)
Rep. Adam Gray was elected to Congress in 2024. He previously served as a California assembly member. Prior, he worked as an aide in the state legislature and as an educator, teaching classes on state politics and policymaking at UC Merced. Rep. Gray is focused on key local issues in his district, including water and agriculture, education, and public safety. JDCA endorsed Rep. Gray in his 2022 race and again in 2024, when he narrowly defeated the Republican incumbent.
Rep. Josh Harder (CA-09)
Rep. Josh Harder was first elected to Congress in 2018. He was inspired to run to protect healthcare coverage for people with pre-existing conditions, like his adopted brother. Prior to serving in Congress, he worked at Bessemer Venture Partners and as a course instructor. His priorities include lowering prices, fighting for affordable healthcare, and combating homelessness. He takes a particular interest in supply chains, and he led a bipartisan effort to improve trucking regulations to make it a more desirable profession. JDCA endorsed Rep. Harder in 2020, 2022, and 2024. He has represented California's 9th Congressional District since 2023, and previously represented California’s 10th District.
Rep. Sara Jacobs (CA-51)
Congresswoman Sara Jacobs has represented California’s 51st Congressional District, including the Cities of San Diego, El Cajon, La Mesa, Lemon Grove, and the unincorporated communities of Spring Valley and La Presa, since 2020. Congresswoman Jacobs sits on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, where she is the Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Africa, and she is also on the House Armed Services Committee. She also gives San Diegans a voice on some of the most important issues facing the world today, as Co-Chair on the Protection of Civilians in Conflict Caucus, a member of the Bipartisan Task Force on Artificial Intelligence, and as Vice Chair of the Congressional Equality Caucus, where she also serves as Co-Chair of the Transgender Equality Task Force. Prior to her time in Congress, she served in policy positions at the U.S. State Department during the Obama Administration, UNICEF, and the United Nations, and as a Scholar in Residence at the Joan B. Kroc School of Peace Studies at the University of San Diego. JDCA endorsed Rep. Jacobs in 2024.
Rep. Sydney Kamlager Dove (CA-37)
Congresswoman Kamlager-Dove has spent her career advocating for communities and families. In 2013, Rep. Kamlager-Dove was appointed to the Los Angeles County Commission on Children and Families, and in 2015, she was elected to the Los Angeles Community College Board. During her time on the board, she fought to make higher education and career training affordable and accessible to everyone, with a special focus on underserved communities and students who were previously in the foster care system or incarcerated. She successfully ran for California State Assembly in 2018 and California State Senate in 2021. First elected to represent California's 37th Congressional District in 2022, Congresswoman Kamlager-Dove carries with her the experience of serving the people of Los Angeles. She will always be a strong voice for justice and our most vulnerable community members as she continues her commitment in the House of Representatives. JDCA endorsed Rep. Kamlager-Dove in 2024.
Rep. Mike Levin (CA-49)
Representative Mike Levin has represented California’s 49th District since 2019. Before being elected to Congress, he spent years tackling the issue of climate change, working in the clean energy industry to improve both transportation and electric generation. He also spent several years on the board at the Center for Sustainable Energy. Rep. Levin has continued that fight in Congress, serving on the House Subcommittee on Energy and Water Development and Related Agencies. He supports providing quality healthcare to all Americans and has supported bills that would provide dental and vision coverage under Medicare and improve healthcare outcomes for mothers and babies on Medicaid and in the CHIP program. Rep. Levin is a strong advocate for the U.S.-Israel relationship and a co-sponsor of H.R. 326, which reaffirmed congressional support for a two-state solution. JDCA endorsed Rep. Levin in 2018, 2020, 2022, and 2024.
Rep. Ted Lieu (CA-36)
Ted Lieu has been serving as the representative for California’s 36th District since 2015. As Vice Chair of the Democratic Caucus, he is the highest-ranking Asian American to have ever served in House Leadership. Prior to Congress, Lieu served as a California State Senator, Assemblyman, and in the Air Force. In Congress, he has focused on tech issues, the environment, and civil liberties, with a particular focus on LGBTQ+ equality. He has been an outspoken proponent of government oversight and rule of law, leading an Article of Impeachment and serving as an Impeachment Manager for Trump’s second impeachment trial. Rep. Lieu is a co-chair of the Bipartisan Task Force for Combating Antisemitism and has led efforts to combat antisemitism.
Rep. Dave Min (CA-47)
Rep. Dave Min was elected to Congress in 2024 after serving as a state senator in California. He is a first-generation Korean American who has worked as an enforcement attorney at the Securities and Exchange Commission, economic policy advisor to Sen. Schumer, and economic policy director at the Center for American Progress. In his career prior to holding office, he focused on banking and housing policy and testified before Congress multiple times on those topics. In the CA State Senate, he advocated for climate action, reproductive rights, and gun violence prevention. He led bills successfully signed into law that ban gun shows on state property, end offshore oil drilling, and combat AAPI hate. Rep. Min stands for our Jewish and Democratic values. JDCA endorsed Rep. Min in 2024.
Rep. Kevin Mullin (CA-15)

Congressman Kevin Mullin was first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2022. He began his public service as a South San Francisco City Councilmember and Mayor, before being elected to the California State Assembly, where he served as Speaker pro Tempore. In the California Assembly, he authored more than 60 bills that were signed into law, including landmark legislation pioneering all vote-by-mail elections and combating dark money in state campaigns. Expanding access to the ballot box and strengthening our democracy were Rep. Mullin’s top priorities in the Assembly. In Congress, Rep. Mullin continues to defend our democracy from those who ignore the will of the people and the rule of law. JDCA endorsed Rep. Mullin in 2024.

Rep. Brad Sherman (CA-32)
Rep. Brad Sherman has served in the House of Representatives since 1997. He is a senior member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and a senior member of the House Financial Services Committee, and he has worked to strengthen the U.S.-Israeli alliance as the Co-Chair of the House Israel Allied Caucus and the most senior Democrat on the House-Knesset Parliamentary Friendship Group. Rep. Sherman has pushed for limiting U.S. support for Iranian industries, been an outspoken critic of Qatar for funding Hamas, advocated for the recognition of the Armenian genocide, and suggested sanctions for China’s treatment of Uyghur Muslims. Sherman is a Jewish member of Congress and advocates for Jewish issues by speaking openly about the rise of antisemitism in California.
Rep. Derek Tran (CA-45)
Rep. Derek Tran is an army veteran, consumer rights attorney, city commissioner, and small business owner. He has served as the U.S. representative from California's 45th Congressional District since 2025. His parents fled Vietnam and moved to Southern California, where they opened a corner market where Derek worked throughout school. He enlisted in the army at age 18, after which he went to law school and opened a small business to support immigrants, survivors of sexual harassment, consumers, and workers. He also served on the Orange Traffic Commission to help with transportation and highway planning. In Congress, he sits on the House Armed Services Committee. His priorities include infrastructure investment to boost clean energy jobs, affordable healthcare and prescription drug prices, and the right to choose. JDCA endorsed Rep. Derek Tran in 2024.
Rep. George Whitesides (CA-27)
Rep. George Whitesides was first elected to Congress in 2024. He is the former Chief of Staff for NASA in the Obama administration and former CEO of Virgin Galactic. In these roles, he led innovation and reform in the space industry, including creating hundreds of jobs in the district. He also co-founded Megafire Action, the first organization dedicated to solving the nation’s wildfire crisis, and co-chaired the Antelope Valley COVID-19 Task Force to bring together stakeholders and support front-line workers. In Congress, he advocates for creating jobs, strengthening public safety, and expanding opportunities in California’s 27th District. JDCA endorsed Rep. Whitesides in 2024.
Colorado
Sen. John Hickenlooper (CO)
Senator John Hickenlooper is the junior U.S. senator from Colorado, elected in 2020 after serving two terms as governor. Sen. Hickenlooper has long championed pragmatic solutions to major challenges. As governor, he oversaw Colorado’s economic recovery, expanded Medicaid, implemented some of the nation’s strongest methane regulations, and worked to lower vehicle emissions. As senator, his priorities focus on climate and public land preservation, uplifting small businesses, strengthening restrictions on firearms, and providing affordable and accessible healthcare for all. He currently sits on the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation, the Senate Committee on Heath, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP), the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources, and the Senate Committee on Small Business & Entrepreneurship. Hickenlooper is a steadfast supporter of the U.S.-Israel relationship and a two-state solution. JDCA endorsed Sen. Hickenlooper in 2020.
Rep. Jason Crow (CO-06)
Rep. Jason Crow has served as the United States representative for Colorado's 6th Congressional District since 2019. The son of small business owners, Rep. Crow enlisted in the National Guard and worked construction jobs to cover the cost of college. He served in the Army following 9/11 and led a paratrooper platoon during the invasion of Iraq. After returning to civilian life, Rep. Crow mentored veterans transitioning from military to civilian life, earned his law degree, and was elected to Colorado’s 6th District in 2018. His priorities include workforce development, defending democracy, and veteran policy. In Congress, he has worked to advance a two-state solution. After October 7, Rep. Crow condemned Hamas’ attack in the strongest possible terms. Since then, he has met with families of hostages, spoke with Jewish community leaders to discuss the rise in antisemitism, and supported Israel’s right to defend itself. JDCA endorsed Rep. Crow in 2018, 2020, and 2024.
Rep. Joe Neguse (CO-02)
Joe Neguse, the House Assistant Minority Leader, has served in Congress since 2019 and is the first Black member of Congress from Colorado. He has been named one of the most effective lawmakers in the country, including the second most effective House Democrat in March 2025, by the Center for Effective Lawmaking. Prior to serving in Congress, Neguse served as the Executive Director of Colorado’s consumer protection agency and recovered millions of dollars for consumers, championed legislation to combat financial fraud against seniors, and launched the state’s first online filing system for civil rights discrimination complaints. Neguse has supported numerous pieces of pro-Israel legislation, including legislation to support the hostages, send supplemental aid to Israel, and condemn Hamas. Following the June 2025 attack on pro-Israel protestors in Boulder, Rep. Neguse introduced a resolution condemning the rise in antisemitism and violent attacks on Jews in the United States. Rep. Neguse also served as an impeachment manager after Trump’s January 6 insurrection. He continues to be a strong advocate for Jewish Americans.
Rep. Brittany Pettersen (CO-07)
Representative Brittany Pettersen has served as the U.S. representative from Colorado's 7th Congressional District since 2023. Prior, she served in the Colorado state legislature for a decade. Pettersen is the first in her family to graduate both high school and college, and in Colorado, she helped pass the country’s strongest Equal Pay for Equal Work law and advocated for greater investments in mental health and substance use disorder treatment programs. Her legislative priorities include gun safety, fair wages, reproductive healthcare, and ending the opioid epidemic. JDCA endorsed Rep. Pettersen in 2022 and 2024.
Connecticut
Rep. Joe Courtney (CT-02)
Rep. Joe Courtney has served as the U.S. representative for Connecticut's 2nd Congressional District since 2006. Prior, Courtney served as a Connecticut state representative from 1987 to 1995 and as the Vernon town attorney from 2003 to 2006. Rep. Courtney prides himself on his ability to serve “as an independent voice” for his constituents. While serving as a state representative, he was honored as the “Democrat Most Admired by Republicans” by Connecticut Magazine. In Congress, he has supported numerous pieces of pro-Israel legislation to promote normalization agreements between Israel and Arab states, condemn BDS, and reaffirm U.S. support for a two-state solution. JDCA endorsed Rep. Courtney in 2022 and 2024.
Rep. Jahana Hayes (CT-05)
Representative Jahana Hayes was first elected to Congress in 2018. She is the first African-American Congresswoman from Connecticut. Prior, she worked as a teacher and was recognized as National Teacher of the Year by President Obama in 2016. In her capacity as Teacher of the Year, she traveled the country and the world to empower public educators and worked on policies designed to improve outcomes for students. Rep. Hayes is firmly aligned with our values, which has been showcased by her tireless advocacy in Congress. She currently sits on the House Committees of Agriculture and Education & the Workforce. JDCA endorsed Rep. Hayes in 2022 and 2024.
Delaware
Sen. Chris Coons (DE)
Senator Chris Coons was elected to represent Delaware in the Senate in 2010. He has established himself as a leader in the Democratic Party and as a model of bipartisanship in the Senate. He is a member of the Senate Foreign Relations and Judiciary Committees. Additionally, Senator Coons sits on the Senate Appropriations Committee, the Senate Small Business & Entrepreneurship Committee, and the Select Committee on Ethics. He is passionate about civil rights and believes our Constitution contains critical protections that form the foundation of our society, and we must continue to protect our democracy. Senator Coons is a friend of the Jewish community and Israel, standing strongly in opposition to BDS and in support of a two-state solution, as well being a strong voice against antisemitism. JDCA endorsed Senator Coons in 2020.
Rep. Sarah McBride (DE-AL)
Rep. Sarah McBride was elected to Congress in 2024 after serving as a Delaware state senator since 2020, gaining national attention for becoming the first openly transgender state senator and member of Congress. Prior, she served as the national press secretary for the Human Rights Campaign. She also worked for former Governor Jack Markell and the late Attorney General Beau Biden and served in the Obama-Biden White House. Rep. McBride was awarded the Order of the First State, Delaware’s highest civilian honor. As state senator, she passed legislation expanding healthcare access, promoting green technologies, and providing paid family and medical leave to Delaware workers. Rep. McBride’s additional priorities include ensuring access to reproductive healthcare, strengthening the economy, and advancing gun safety. She currently sits on the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, the Committee on Science, Space and Technology, and serves as Co-Chair of the Congressional Equality Caucus. JDCA endorsed Rep. McBride in 2024.
Florida
Rep. Lois Frankel (FL-22)
Rep. Lois Frankel represented Florida’s 22nd district in Congress from 2013 to 2017, Florida’s 21st district from 2017 to 2023, and Florida’s 22nd district again since 2023. Prior, she served 14 years in the Florida state legislature, where she became the first woman Democratic Minority Leader, and she was Mayor of West Palm Beach. She became a leading force to improve the economic condition of families and seniors, as well as protecting human rights and reproductive freedom – fights she continues today in Congress. Rep. Frankel’s priorities also include standing with Israel and combating antisemitism. Since October 7, she has been a leading voice in calling for the immediate release of hostages, security assistance to Israel, aid to civilians in Gaza, and condemnation of the use of sexual violence. She was the lead sponsor of H. Res. 966, Condemning rape and sexual violence committed by Hamas in its war against Israel. JDCA endorsed Rep. Frankel in 2024.
Rep. Jared Moskowitz (FL-23)
JareRep. Jared Moskowitz is a former Florida State Representative and Broward County Commissioner who also served as Florida’s Director of Emergency Management, where he oversaw the state’s COVID-19 response. He was elected to represent Florida's 23rd Congressional District in 2022. His main policy priorities are gun control and Israel. A Marjory Stoneman Douglas alum, he touts his success in passing bipartisan legislation in Florida to increase the age to purchase assault weapons and implement “red flag laws.” Since October 7, he has led efforts to secure aid to Israel and combat anti-Israel sentiments in the U.S. Rep. Moskowitz is a strong advocate for reproductive rights, protecting the LGBTQI+ community, and combating climate change. JDCA endorsed Rep. Moskowitz in 2022 and 2024.
Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (FL-25)
Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz was first elected in 2004 and is Florida’s first Jewish Congresswoman. Prior, she served as the youngest woman elected to the Florida state legislature and advocated for issues such as economic equity and reproductive freedom. In Congress, she has prioritized expanding healthcare, improving quality of life for children and families, protecting reproductive rights, and safeguarding the social safety net. Rep. Wasserman Schultz is known for working across the aisle to secure legislative wins and is a member of the New Democrat Coalition and on the Bipartisan Task Force for Combating Antisemitism. Rep. Wasserman Schultz has joined JDCA for numerous events throughout the years. JDCA endorsed Rep. Wasserman Schultz in 2024.
Georgia
Sen. Jon Ossoff (GA)
Senator Jon Ossoff has served as senior United States senator from Georgia since 2021 and is the youngest U.S. senator to date. His prior experience in investigative journalism provided him with firsthand insight into the struggles facing Georgia voters. Prior to running for office, Ossoff ran a media company dedicated to exposing corruption in foreign countries, and he has brought this passion to Washington to root out the corruption the Trump Administration has created. In the Senate, his priorities focus on affordable healthcare, protecting reproductive rights, mitigating the climate crisis, and executing investments in clean energy, energy efficiency, and environmental protection. Sen. Ossoff sits on the Senate Committee on Appropriations, the Committee on Rules and Administration, and the Select Committee on Intelligence. Sen. Ossoff is committed to fighting antisemitism. He has repeatedly stated that the U.S. commitment to Israel’s security is “ironclad” and has continued to support Israel since the horrific attacks on October 7. Sen. Ossoff is a friend of JDCA and we are proud to have endorsed him in 2020.  
Rep. Nikema Williams (GA-05)
Representative Nikema Williams was first elected to Congress in 2020 to succeed Congressman John Lewis. Prior, she served as a Georgia state senator. She is committed to Congressman Lewis’s memory by continuing to fight to secure our democracy and protect voting rights and was arrested at the State Capitol for peacefully protesting the voter suppression rampant in the 2018 Georgia elections. Other legislative priorities include reproductive justice, economic justice, and healthcare. She served as Freshman Class President for the 117th Congress and is a member of the New Democrat Coalition and Congressional Progressive Caucus. Williams co-chairs the Black-Jewish Relations Caucus. JDCA endorsed Rep. Williams in 2024.
Rep. Lucy McBath (GA-07)
Rep. Lucy McBath ran for office for the first time in 2018 after the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Six years prior, she lost her son to gun violence and left her career as a flight attendant to dedicate her life to advocating for gun safety. When she took office in 2019, Rep. McBath prioritized bipartisan solutions to combat gun violence. She has also focused on uplifting small businesses, protecting veterans, and lowering the cost of health care. Rep. McBath introduced a bill to cap insulin costs at $35 a month for seniors on Medicare, which was eventually signed into law by President Biden. She also played a key role in passing Red Flag laws through the Bipartisan Safer Communities Law. Rep. McBath continues to stand with Israel in its defense against Hamas and voted for the national security supplemental to provide military assistance to Israel and humanitarian aid to Gaza. JDCA endorsed Rep. McBath in 2020, 2022, and 2024.
Illinois
Rep. Nikki Budzinski (IL-13)
Rep. Nikki Budzinski is a fighter for working families. After graduating from college, she went on to work with a number of labor unions nationwide and stood up for collective bargaining and ensured union members were getting all the benefits they were entitled to. As an advisor to Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, Budzinski was a key player in raising the Illinois minimum wage to $15 an hour and also helped expand broadband access across the state. She built on this important work in the Biden administration as Chief of Staff for Biden’s Office of Management and Budget, where she oversaw the implementation of the American Rescue Plan. She was elected to Congress in 2022, where she advocates for workers and the people of Illinois. Rep. Rep. Sean Casten (IL-06)
Representative Sean Casten has served as the U.S. representative for Illinois’ 6th Congressional District since 2018. He is the first Democrat to represent the district since 1949. Before coming to Congress, Rep. Casten worked as a clean energy consultant and as CEO of the Turbostream Corporation, focusing on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and helping to lead the way forward on climate change. He has taken that same spirit of activism to Congress, where he sits on the House Financial Services Committee as a member of the Subcommittee on National Security, Illicit Finance and International Financial Institutions. He has targeted overpriced prescription drugs, worked to stop insurance companies from selling junk healthcare plans, and protected those with preexisting conditions. Rep. Rep. Bill Foster (IL-11)
Rep. Bill Foster was first elected to Congress in 2008. Prior, he worked as a physicist and played a leading role in several groundbreaking experiments in elementary particle physics. In Congress, Rep. Foster has focused on healthcare and economic reform. He played a key role on the House Select Subcommittee on Coronavirus and helped create the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act in response to the Great Recession. Rep. Brad Schneider (IL-10)
Representative Brad Schneider has represented Illinois’ 10th District from 2013-2015 and 2017-present. In the House, Rep. Schneider has been a strong voice for his constituents, using his position on the Ways and Means Committee  to protect Social Security and Medicare from Republican attacks and bring down taxes for working families. Rep. Rep. Eric Sorensen (IL-17)
Rep. Eric Sorensen was elected to Congress in 2022. Before his time in Congress, Rep. Sorensen worked as a weatherman for 22 years. He sees it as a service to his community, and that work has helped him build a relationship and high name recognition with his viewers. As a weatherman, Rep. Sorensen has been an especially important voice on climate change in his local community. He began incorporating climate coverage into his meteorology early in his career, long before the practice became mainstream. In addition to climate change, Rep. Sorensen shares our values on a host of key issues, including creating a public option for healthcare, investing in public education, and creating good-paying sustainable jobs. JDCA endorsed Rep. Rep. Lauren Underwood (IL-14)
Rep. Lauren Underwood was first elected in 2018 after beating Republican incumbent Randy Hultgren. Prior, Rep. Underwood was a nurse and health policy professional. She served in the Obama administration as a Senior Advisor in the Department of Health and Human Services. Rep. Underwood’s platform and legislative record focus on health policy. She is best known for helping to draft the “Momnibus” package, a series of proposals aimed at helping mothers with an emphasis on Black mothers. Rep. Underwood has a strong pro-Israel record, including supporting increased Iron Dome funding in 2021 and the 2024 national security supplemental to provide military assistance to Israel and humanitarian aid to Gaza. Gov. J.B. Pritzker (IL-Gov)
Governor J.B. Pritzker has been serving the people of Illinois since 2019, delivering real results for working families and leading Illinois through some of its most challenging moments. At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, he launched the largest small business relief grant program in the country and worked to keep Illinoisans safe while supporting economic recovery. He partnered with the Illinois Legislative Black Caucus to take on structural racism and advance historic reforms in education, healthcare, and criminal justice. As governor, he has invested in infrastructure and innovation, creating hundreds of thousands of  jobs, while expanding access to early childhood education and preparing Illinois for the industries of the future. He has also stood as a firewall against Donald Trump’s attacks on reproductive freedom, voting rights, healthcare, and LGBTQ+ equality, and has spoken out forcefully against the rise in antisemitism and bigotry. Indiana
Rep. Frank Mrvan (IN-01)
Rep. Frank Mrvan was born and raised in Hammond, IN, and was first elected to Congress in 2020. Prior, he served as the North Township Trustee for 15 years and worked as a sales representative and mortgage broker. In Congress, he has focused on strengthening the economy through labor and manufacturing policy, lowering healthcare costs, and supporting public education. He urged Congress to pass the emergency supplemental funding for Israel and Ukraine to “protect our freedoms and democracy.” Rep. Mrvan will continue to fight to protect access to reproductive healthcare, grow the regional economy by advocating for good-paying jobs, and protect the steel industry from bad actors around the globe. Iowa
Christina Bohannan (IA-01)
Christina Bohannan is running to flip Iowa’s 1st Congressional District from red to blue. She is a law professor and former state representative who is running for Congress because she believes we need a government that works for the people, not Washington special interests. Bohannan’s priorities include investing in schools, protecting working-class families, ensuring protections for voting rights, and increasing access to affordable health care. She is also an outspoken opponent of antisemitism and hate speech. In 2024, Bohannan ran to unseat incumbent Republican Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks and came within 800 votes of defeating her – outperforming the top of the ticket by nearly 10 points. We are proud to endorse Bohannan in 2026 to flip this seat from red to blue.
Kansas
Rep. Sharice Davids (KS-03)
Representative Sharice Davids was elected to represent Kansas’ 3rd Congressional District in 2018. Rep. Davids made history as the first LGBTQ+ Native American member of Congress. Before Congress, she served in the Department of Transportation. In Congress, she has proven herself to be a leader on combating antisemitism. Rep. Davids recognizes the importance of the strong relationship between the United States and Israel, supports reentering the Iran Nuclear Deal, and opposes the BDS movement. On healthcare, Rep. Davids wants to expand and protect the Affordable Care Act, lower the price of prescription drugs, improve the quality of care, and protect individuals with preexisting conditions from being denied coverage. Rep. Sarah Elfreth (MD-03)
Rep. Sarah Elfreth was elected to Congress in 2024. She was the youngest woman ever elected to the Maryland Senate, having represented the 30th District from 2019 to 2024. Prior to her political career, Elfreth served as the Director of Government Affairs of the National Aquarium and as Director of University Projects for Margrave Strategies, focusing on economic development in university towns. In her five years in the Maryland Senate, she worked to pass 84 bills, all of which had bipartisan support. Rep. Elfreth’s key issues include strengthening public schools, protecting the environment, supporting small businesses, and safeguarding reproductive freedom. In Congress, her priorities include expanding prenatal care, supporting veterans with PTSD, and providing accessible and affordable education for all. JDCA endorsed Rep. Elfreth in 2024.
Rep. Glenn Ivey (MD-04)
Representative Glenn Ivey was elected to Congress in 2022. Prior, he served two terms as the Prince George's County Attorney. Rep. Ivey is passionate about the power of public service, and as state attorney, he established the first-ever Domestic Violence Prevention Unit and a mortgage fraud unit to fight for homeowners who lost out when the real estate market suffered. Rep. Ivey is an advocate for gun safety, reproductive rights, criminal justice reform, education, and environmental protection. He is especially adamant about social justice reform, focusing on race and health equity. In Congress, Rep. Ivey advocates for working families and their safety, and he regularly organizes media and roundtable events in order to engage and inform the public about gun violence issues. Rep. Rep. April McClain Delaney (MD-06)
Rep. April McClain Delaney was elected to Congress in 2024. Prior, she served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Communications and Information in President Biden’s Department of Commerce. She was also Washington Director of the nonprofit Common Sense Media for 15 years. Her campaign focused on her desire to leverage technology to drive economic development and defending our democracy. Rep. McClain Delaney’s priorities in Congress include protecting wildlife, agricultural conservation, and uplifting small businesses. She currently sits on the House Agriculture Committee and the Science, Space and Technology Committee. Rep. McClain Delaney condemns the “deadly terror attack” on Israel by Hamas and is an unwavering supporter of Israel’s right to defend itself. JDCA endorsed Rep. McClain Delaney in 2024.
Rep. John “Johnny O” Olszewski (MD-02)
Rep. Olszewski was elected to Congress in 2024. Known as Johnny O, Rep. Olszewski is a former public school teacher and Baltimore County Executive born and raised in Baltimore County. His experience teaching inspired him to run for public office. As County Executive, he took action to combat gun violence, close an $81 million budget deficit, and raise teacher pay. His priorities in Congress include reproductive freedom, democracy and voting rights, and government accountability. He strongly opposes antisemitism, extremism, and white nationalism. Rep. Jamie Raskin (MD-08)
Congressman Jamie Raskin has represented Maryland’s 8th Congressional District since 2017. Rep. Raskin believes that providing quality healthcare is an essential requirement of a modern society and is working to ensure that every American is able to access affordable and quality healthcare. Rep. Raskin is also a leader in the fight against climate change. Rep. Raskin was chosen by the Democratic Caucus to be the Ranking Member of the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability in the 118th Congress. Rep. Raskin was the lead impeachment manager in the second impeachment trial of President Trump and served on the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6 Attack on the United States Capitol. As a Maryland State Senator, he wrote the Green Maryland Act and was an original cosponsor of the Green New Deal in Congress. In his first term, Governor Moore raised teacher pay, invested in Maryland’s public schools, expanded access to affordable healthcare, and advanced bold climate policies to protect the Chesapeake Bay and position Maryland as a leader in clean energy. He has worked to grow economic opportunity by cutting child poverty, supporting small businesses, and expanding workforce training programs that prepare Marylanders for the jobs of the future. Now running for reelection, Governor Moore is focused on tackling the affordability crisis, making housing more accessible, ensuring reproductive freedom, protecting democracy from extremist threats, and continuing to close racial and economic equity gaps across the state. Sen. Ed Markey (MA)
Senator Ed Markey has served as the senior United States senator from Massachusetts since 2013 and previously represented the state in the House for nearly four decades. A progressive champion in Congress, Sen. Markey is best known for co-authoring the Green New Deal and leading on climate action, environmental justice, and clean energy policy. He has been a vocal advocate for reproductive freedom, affordable healthcare, and combating gun violence. He is a ranking member on the Committee on Small Business & Entrepreneurship, and he sits on the Committee on Environment and Public Works and the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation. Rep. Jake Auchincloss (MA-04)
Representative Jake Auchincloss was first elected to Congress in 2020. Prior to serving in the House, Auchincloss joined the Marines and commanded infantry in Afghanistan and special operations in Panama, served on the Newton City Council, and ran product development at a Fortune 100 insurance company and cybersecurity startup. In Congress, he has focused on healthcare, clean energy, gun violence, and building a strong middle class. Rep. Katherine Clark (MA-05)
Democratic Whip Katherine Clark has represented Massachusetts’ 5th District in Congress since 2013. She is one of only two women to serve as Whip and is the highest-ranking woman in Congress. As a legislator, Clark has focused on ending wage discrimination, protecting reproductive rights, expanding access to affordable child care, ending gun violence, and guaranteeing paid leave. Prior to serving in Congress, she worked as a state senator, state representative, member of the Melrose School Committee, general counsel for the MA Office of Child Care Services, and policy chief for the MA Attorney General. Rep. Richard Neal (MA-01)
Rep. Neal has served as U.S. representative for Massachusetts' 1st Congressional District since 1989. Born in Worcester and raised in Springfield, Rep. Richard Neal relied on Social Security survivor benefits to attend college. He taught history and served as a city councilor, mayoral aide, and Mayor of Springfield before serving in Congress. Rep. Neal helped write the Affordable Care Act and has encouraged states to expand Medicaid coverage. Gov. Maura Healey (MA-Gov)
Maura Healey was first elected Governor of Massachusetts in 2022. As governor, Healey has focused on the cost of housing, advancing education, lowering healthcare costs, and protecting reproductive freedom. Prior to that, Healey served two terms as Massachusetts Attorney General, first elected in 2014 and re-elected in 2018. In her role as Attorney General, she focused on the opioid epidemic, climate change, health care costs, and student loan debt. Before serving in elected office, Healey was a litigation partner at an international law firm. Healey is among the first LGBTQ+ governors in the country and has been a close ally to the Massachusetts Jewish community. Healey has met with Jewish students to discuss antisemitism on college campuses and, after the horrific attack at the Capital Jewish Museum in D.C., she joined the Jewish community in Massachusetts to voice her support and “be present in a space that expresses the best of Jewish life.”
Michigan
Rep. Kristen McDonald Rivet (MI-08)
Rep. McDonald Rivet was elected to Congress in 2024. Rep. McDonald Rivet grew up in a working-class Catholic household and was the first generation in her family to attend college. She served as Executive Director of Michigan Head Start, Chief of Staff for Michigan’s Department of Education, and Vice President of the Skillman Foundation. Elected to the Michigan State Senate in 2022, she was the first Democrat in over a decade and the first woman ever to represent the Great Lakes Bay Region. In Congress, her priorities include supporting working families, lowering costs, protecting abortion rights, and passing common-sense gun violence prevention legislation. Rep. Rep. Hillary Scholten (MI-03)
Rep. Hillary Scholten has served as the U.S. Representative for Michigan's 3rd Congressional District since 2023. She has been creating change in her community since she began her career as a caseworker for the AIDS Action Committee, where she worked to shield members of the LGBTQ+ community from housing discrimination. From there, she clerked for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and later went on to work for the Department of Justice under the Obama administration. At the DOJ, she focused on reforming American immigration policies and ensuring that immigrants were being treated fairly throughout the immigration process. Since then, Scholten has taken on roles at the Times Up Legal Defense Fund and the Michigan Immigrant Rights Center to provide legal assistance to those who need it most. Minnesota
Rep. Kelly Morrison (MN-03)
Before being elected to Congress in 2024, Representative Morrison served as an OB-GYN in Minnesota for over twenty years. She first ran for office in 2018 and was elected to the MN House for two terms before serving in the MN Senate from 2023 to 2024. In the state House and Senate, she has focused on affordable healthcare, taking on Big Pharma, and reproductive rights. Her priorities in Congress also include combating gun violence, strengthening mental health support in schools, and protecting Minnesota’s environment. Morrison supports the alliance between the U.S. and Israel and believes the U.S. should do everything it can to work toward a two-state solution. JDCA endorsed Rep. Morrison in 2024.
Missouri
Rep. Wesley Bell (MO-01)
First elected in 2024, Rep. Wesley Bell previously served as St. Louis County Prosecutor, where he led a variety of initiatives focused on making law enforcement more effective and accountable. He established a violent crimes unit that focused on domestic violence and invested in programs to support offenders who struggled with substance abuse disorder and mental health issues, an initiative with a nearly 90% success rate. His record includes diverting 2,200 low-level, nonviolent defendants to job training and health care programs and ending death penalty prosecutions in the county. Rep. Bell advocates for strengthening the economy through job and skills training, reinvesting in rural communities, expanding access to health insurance, lowering prescription drug costs, defending reproductive rights, fighting climate change, raising the federal minimum wage, and believes a strong middle class comes from strong unions. Nevada
Rep. Steven Horsford (NV-04)
Representative Steven Horsford has represented Nevada’s 4th District from 2013 to 2015 and again since 2019. Prior, he was a member of the Nevada Senate, where he was Majority Leader from 2009 to 2013. Rep. Horsford’s priorities in Congress include uplifting the American Economy, preserving energy, providing affordable and accessible healthcare, and supporting immigration reform. Rep. Horsford frequently cosponsors pro-Israel legislation, including the Israel Relations Normalization Act of 2021, which promotes normalization agreements between Israel and Arab states, as well as legislation condemning BDS. Rep. Dina Titus (NV-01)
Representative Dina Titus was first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2008. She joined Congress after teaching government at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, for 34 years. Additionally, she was the Senate Minority Leader in the state legislature from 1993 to 2008. Rep. Titus has devoted her life to education, both as a teacher and in her work in Congress. Titus has also emerged as a prominent voice against gun violence. She supports comprehensive immigration reform, protecting persons with disabilities, and expanding protections for seniors. Aaron Ford (NV-Gov)
Aaron Ford is running for governor of Nevada to unseat Republican incumbent Joe Lombardo. Ford has served as Nevada’s Attorney General since 2018, and he was reelected in 2022 with the largest margin for a Democratic incumbent in state history. As Attorney General, Ford has secured more than $1 billion in settlements for Nevada to combat and treat the opioid epidemic. Prior to being elected Attorney General, Ford was the State Senate minority whip and leader from 2013 to 2017 and the majority leader from 2017 to 2018. His work in the State Senate included making it easier for victims of sexual assault to navigate the legal system, enforcing a drug pricing transparency program, and implementing regulations for financial advisors and broker-dealers in direct response to Trump’s white collar crimes. JDCA is proud to endorse Ford in his bid for governor of Nevada.
New Hampshire
Rep. Chris Pappas (NH-Sen)
Chris Pappas has served as the U.S. representative for New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District since 2019. He is now running for Senate in New Hampshire to fill the seat that will be vacated by Jeanne Shaheen. He was the first openly gay man to represent New Hampshire in Congress. Pappas served as a state legislator for two terms from 2002 to 2004 and was then elected treasurer of Hillsborough County. Pappas was also New Hampshire’s Executive Councilor, where he worked to expand Medicaid, invest in renewable energy, and protect funding for Planned Parenthood. Pappas co-owns a family restaurant and has prioritized supporting small businesses throughout his career. Pappas has been a staunch supporter of Jewish values, condemning the October 7 attack and supporting Israel’s right to defend itself against Hamas.
Rep. Maggie Goodlander (NH-02)
Rep. Maggie Goodlander, born and raised in Nashua, is a former policy advisor on the Hill, intelligence officer in the United States Navy Reserve, law professor, Deputy Assistant Attorney General, and senior advisor at the White House. She also served as counsel in the first impeachment of Donald Trump. First elected in 2024, Rep. Goodlander’s priorities include protecting our democracy, defending our freedoms, and supporting the middle class and working families. Rep. Sen. Cory Booker (NJ)
Senator Cory Booker has served as the senior United States senator from New Jersey since 2013 and is the first African-American U.S. senator from the Garden State. Before joining the Senate, Sen. Booker served as the Mayor of Newark, where he was recognized as a transformational leader who expanded affordable housing and improved city services. In the Senate, he has championed racial and gender justice, healthcare access, humane immigration reform, and environmental justice. Sen. Booker is a national leader on criminal justice reform, working to end mass incarceration and promote fairness in the legal system. A strong supporter of the U.S.-Israel relationship, he has consistently opposed the BDS movement and supports a two-state solution as the path to lasting peace. Sen. Rep. Herb Conaway (NJ-03)
Rep. Herb Conaway was elected to Congress in 2024. A U.S. Air Force veteran with medical and law degrees, he previously represented the 7th legislative district in the New Jersey General Assembly from 1998 to 2025. He served in the Assembly as Majority Whip from 2014 to 2017, and was Deputy Speaker from 2002 to 2005 and 2022 to 2025. His priorities include improving the economy, protecting reproductive rights, and safeguarding our democracy. Rep. Rep. Rob Menendez was born and raised in Hudson County and has represented New Jersey’s 8th Congressional District since 2022. He represents his diverse district with the values of respect and tolerance, hard work, New Jersey common sense, and the unshakeable idea that everyone should have the opportunity and tools to succeed. Rep. Nellie Pou (NJ-09)
Rep. Nellie Pou was first elected to Congress in 2024. She was selected to replace the late Representative Bill Pascrell on the ballot after he passed away in August 2024. Prior to serving in Congress, she served in the New Jersey State Senate from 2012 to 2025 and the New Jersey General Assembly from 1997 to 2012. She became New Jersey Senate Majority Caucus Chair in 2022 and served as the President of the National Hispanic Caucus of State Legislators. In the state legislature, she focused on human rights issues, including combating human trafficking, supporting undocumented students, and reforming the juvenile justice system. She has also championed healthcare access, affordable housing, and employment opportunities. Rep. Pou has a strong history of standing with Israel and with the Jewish community. Rep. Sen. Ben Ray Lujan (NM)
Senator Ben Ray Luján has served as the junior United States senator from New Mexico since 2021. Prior to the Senate, he served in the House of Representatives, where he held key leadership roles including Chair of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and Assistant Speaker under Speaker Nancy Pelosi. A champion for affordable healthcare, Sen. Luján supported the Affordable Care Act and has fought to expand coverage, reduce prescription drug costs, and protect those with pre-existing conditions. He has been a leading advocate for Native American communities, particularly in expanding access to clean water and essential services on tribal lands. Sen. Luján sits on the Senate Committee on Finance, the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry, the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, the Committee on The Budget, and the Committee on Indian Affairs. Rep. Teresa Leger Fernandez (NM-03)
Representative Teresa Leger Fernandez has been serving her community as a member of the House of Representatives since 2021. Prior to entering elected office, Rep. Fernandez worked in the Department of Housing and Urban Development and advocated for bolstered access to health clinics and affordable housing. In Congress, she has focused on investing in clean energy, upgrading our nation’s infrastructure, environmental conservation, and improving educational outcomes for children in New Mexico. Rep. Fernandez continues to push for progress and development in New Mexico and across the country. She strongly supports a two-state solution, opposes the BDS movement, and supports U.S. aid to Israel pursuant to the 2016 Memorandum of Understanding. JDCA endorsed Rep. Fernandez in 2022 and 2024. 
Rep. Gabe Vasquez (NM-02)
Rep. Vasquez was first elected to Congress in 2022 by less than one percentage point. Before being elected to Congress, Rep. Vasquez served his community as a member of the Las Cruces City Council from 2017 to 2021. On the City Council, then-Councilmember Vasquez secured millions of dollars in investments for parks and infrastructure, as well as crafted a development plan that lifted families in the region out of poverty. In Congress, Rep. Vasquez focuses on expanding voting rights, supporting unions, and investing in clean energy. Rep. Vasquez currently sits on the House Agriculture Committee and the House Armed Services Committee. Rep. Laura Gillen (NY-04)
Representative Laura Gillen was elected to Congress in 2024, unseating a Republican incumbent. Prior, she served as the Supervisor of the Town of Hempstead from 2017 to 2019 and was the first Democrat elected to this position in over a century. During her tenure, she managed a $500 million budget and led initiatives to modernize Hempstead’s infrastructure, create the town’s first sustainability panel, and pass the town’s first multi-year capital spending plan. Her priorities in Congress include protecting abortion rights, enacting gun safety measures, combating climate change, and expanding voting rights. Rep. Gillen is a proud supporter of Israel and fully supports Israel’s right to defend itself. She supports aid to Israel, supports the Abraham Accords, and works in Congress to combat antisemitism. Rep. Dan Goldman (NY-10)
Representative Dan Goldman has served New York’s 10th Congressional District since 2022. Prior, he worked as an attorney and served as lead counsel in the first impeachment of former President Donald Trump and for the House Impeachment Managers during the Senate trial of Donald Trump. He worked for 10 years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in New York, where he prosecuted gun trafficking, corporate fraud cases, Russian organized crime, and violent gangs. In Congress, he has worked to combat gun violence, uphold democracy and freedom, and address border security. Rep. Goldman is the Vice Chair of the Gun Violence Prevention Task Force, and he sits on the Congressional Progressive Caucus and the Bipartisan Task Force for Combating Antisemitism. Rep. George Latimer (NY-16)
Representative George Latimer was elected to Congress in 2024. He previously served as County Executive of Westchester County, on the Rye City Council, and a member of the New York State Senate. As the first Democratic Chair of the County Legislature, Latimer cut property taxes for three consecutive years while passing groundbreaking legislation. He created Westchester’s Human Rights Commission and championed Democratic policy issues such as environmental protections, marriage equality, reproductive freedom, and gun control. He cosponsored the New York Health Act to expand health care coverage. As County Executive, he supported social justice reforms on policing and wage policy and advocated for black maternal health care and investments in affordable housing and transit. Shortly before announcing his candidacy for Congress in 2024, Latimer toured Israel, visited a kibbutz targeted on October 7, and met with President Herzog. Rep. John Mannion (NY-22)
Representative John Mannion is a former AP Biology and Chemistry teacher in local public schools. After 30 years of teaching, he was motivated to run for office to fight for better education policy, including funding for schools. He was elected to the New York State Senate in 2020, where he advocated for Green Chips legislation, a program that helps create more high-paying jobs, provide property tax relief, and pass laws that safeguard reproductive freedom. He has also worked to improve public safety. Rep. Mannion was elected to Congress in 2024, defeating a Republican incumbent. He currently serves on the House Committee on Education & The Workforce and the House Committee on Agriculture. Rep. Mannion believes in the importance of funding programs to combat hate crimes, including antisemitic incidents, and supports the federal government in its efforts to fight domestic terrorism. Mannion believes that the United States should continue to provide military assistance to Israel, per the terms of the 2016 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the U.S. and Israel, including funding for Israel’s missile defense systems. Rep. Josh Riley (NY-19)
Representative Josh Riley was elected to Congress in 2024, flipping New York’s 19th District from red to blue. Previously, he served as an attorney and worked as a Hill aide under Rep. Maurice Hinchey, Sen. Ted Kennedy, and Sen. Al Franken. He was also a policy analyst in the Department of Labor. In these roles, he has worked to raise the minimum wage, secure worker protections, and strengthen social safety nets. In Congress, Rep. Rep. Pat Ryan (NY-18)
Congressman Pat Ryan is a decorated combat veteran, small business owner, and County Executive. He first represented New York’s 19th District from 2022 to 2023 in a special election, and has represented New York’s 18th District since 2023. He attended West Point and served two tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. Following his military service, Rep. Ryan founded a technology company that employed 150 people and focused on providing job training for veterans. In 2019, he was elected to be Ulster County Executive, where he provided financial relief to small businesses and residents, built supportive and affordable housing, and invested in mental health services. Rep. Tom Suozzi (NY-03)
Representative Tom Suozzi, trained as an attorney and CPA, represented New York’s 3rd Congressional District from 2017 to 2023, and again since 2024. Previously serving as Nassau County Executive and Mayor of Glen Cove, Rep. Suozzi has committed his 30-year career in public service to delivering for his constituents. His philosophy of working with anyone who shares his goal of solving problems and delivering for his constituents has led to notable accomplishments on issues including protecting the environment, common-sense gun safety, full access to reproductive healthcare, immigration, caring for our veterans, affordable healthcare, and fiscal responsibility. Rep. Ritchie Torres (NY-15)
Representative Ritchie Torres has represented New York’s 15th District since 2020. Prior, he was New York City’s youngest elected official and the first openly LGBTQ+ person elected to office in the Bronx at age 25. He was raised by a single mother in a public housing project and governs from a place of lived experience. During his seven-year tenure in the New York City Council, he passed over forty pieces of legislation, including legislation protecting the city’s affordable housing stock and tackling the city’s opioid epidemic. In Congress, he has introduced legislation to reduce gun violence and uphold democracy. Rep. Torres introduced the Antisemitism Inclusion in DEI Act to require companies to combat antisemitism and advocated for federal action to combat antisemitism on college campuses. Gov. Kathy Hochul (NY-Gov)
Governor Kathy Hochul made history in 2021 as the first woman to serve as Governor of New York. Since then, she has steered the state through challenging times while advancing a bold agenda on public safety, economic growth, climate action, and protecting fundamental rights. As governor, Hochul has strengthened New York’s gun safety laws, expanded access to affordable housing, delivered middle-class tax relief, and invested in infrastructure and clean energy to prepare the state for the future. She is also focused on safeguarding reproductive freedom by ensuring New York remains a national haven for reproductive care. Governor Hochul has been a steadfast ally of the Jewish community and a strong voice against antisemitism. Gov. Roy Cooper (NC-Sen)
Roy Cooper served as the 75th governor of North Carolina from 2017 to 2025. Prior to his two terms as governor, he sat in the North Carolina House of Representatives and the State Senate before serving four terms as North Carolina’s Attorney General. Throughout his career, Cooper has prioritized expanding affordable healthcare, increasing funding for public education, and strengthening the middle class. As governor, he secured a historic Medicaid expansion, delivered investments in public schools, and worked to grow North Carolina’s economy while making it more affordable for working families. Cooper has a strong pro-Israel record and a steadfast commitment to combating antisemitism. He rejected efforts to block certain U.S. arms sales to Israel and opposed anti-Israel resolutions. Now, he is running for North Carolina’s open Senate seat and is focused on affordability, opportunity, and protecting democracy. JDCA is proud to endorse Roy Cooper for his candidacy in 2026.
Rep. Don Davis (NC-01)
Representative Don Davis was first elected to the House in 2022 in a highly competitive election. Prior to serving in Congress, Davis served in the Air Force for 8 years and taught as an assistant professor of Aerospace Studies at Eastern Carolina University. He worked as an educator for over 20 years. He became the youngest Mayor of Snow Hill, NC, at age 29 and worked to rebuild the economy and invest in high-speed internet and road infrastructure. In 2008, he was elected state senator and continued his work fighting for rural communities, raising teacher pay, and expanding access to quality health care. In Congress, Rep. Davis’ priorities include fighting for more accessible and affordable healthcare, working toward equal access to education, and creating more jobs to boost the American economy. Throughout his career, Sherrod Brown has been a leading advocate for labor and workers’ rights and affordable healthcare. After narrowly losing reelection in 2024, he is once again running for the Senate in 2026 to continue fighting to strengthen the middle class and ensure economic opportunity for all. Sen. Rep. Shontel Brown (OH-11)

Rep. Marcy Kaptur (OH-09)
Congresswoman Kaptur, a native Toledoan, has represented Ohio’s 9th District since 1983. After graduating from St. Ursula Academy, she became the first member of her family to attend college, earning a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Wisconsin and later a master's degree in urban planning from the University of Michigan. After working for 15 years as a city and regional planner, primarily in Toledo and Chicago, she accepted an appointment as a domestic policy advisor to President Jimmy Carter. Rep. Greg Landsman (OH-01)
Before being elected to Congress in 2022, Rep. Landsman served his community as a member of the Cincinnati City Council since 2018. Prior to entering politics, Rep. Landsman worked as a nonprofit leader and a public educator. He is a Jewish member of Congress and has worked with the Tauber/Rashi Rise Together Initiative, an organization that works in Israeli cities to invest in young people. On the Cincinnati City Council, then-Councilmember Landsman secured historic investments in transit and infrastructure in the Cincinnati area and has fought to ensure that Cincinnati children have access to two years of quality preschool. Rep. Emilia Sykes (OH-13)
Before being elected to Congress in 2022, Rep. Emilia Sykes served her community as a state representative for Ohio’s 34th District. In the state House, she fought for tax cuts for working families, increased access to high-speed internet, and stood up for victims of domestic abuse. Rep. Sykes believes in a strong U.S.-Israel relationship and has attended a Trade Development Mission with the Jewish Federation of Cleveland aimed at promoting partnerships between Ohio and Israeli companies. Rep. Suzanne Bonamici (OR-01)
Suzanne Bonamici has been serving as the representative of Oregon’s 1st Congressional District since 2012. Previously, she served in the Oregon State Senate and Oregon House of Representatives and worked as a consumer protection attorney at the Federal Trade Commission. In Congress, Bonamici has fought for environmental conservation, public education, and small businesses. As a Jewish Democrat on the Education and Workforce Committee, she has been a vocal advocate against Trump’s efforts to weaponize antisemitism. Bonamici vows to protect Jewish students, demanding that the Early Childhood and Secondary Education Subcommittee (ECESES) must “do more to protect Jewish students and Jewish Americans who are threatened, harassed, and attacked because of who they are.”
Rep. Janelle Bynum (OR-05)
Representative Janelle Bynum has represented Oregon’s 5th Congressional District since 2024. She previously served in the Oregon State Legislature, and she is also a small business owner. As a state representative, she spearheaded legislation expanding access to mental health, improving youth voter engagement, and supporting women of color in the workplace. Rep. Bynum's priorities in Congress include lowering the cost of housing, ending homelessness, and expanding access to healthcare. Rep. Rep. Andrea Salinas (OR-06)
Before being elected to Congress in 2022, Rep. Andrea Salinas was an Oregon state representative and worked as an aide for Senator Harry Reid and other Democratic members of Congress. She also served as the legislative director for the Oregon Environmental Council and worked as a political consultant. Rep. Salinas is especially proud of her work in the state legislature, where she helped pass some of the nation’s most progressive reproductive health care policies, raised the minimum wage, lowered prescription drug prices, and fought to reduce carbon emissions – all of which she prioritizes in Congress. Rep. Madeleine Dean (PA-04)
Rep. Madeleine Dean was first elected to Congress in 2018. Prior, she was a member of the Pennsylvania General Assembly and the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. She has supported several pieces of pro-Israel legislation, including bills to advance normalization with Arab states and condemning BDS and Israeli annexation and settlements while reaffirming U.S. support for a two-state solution. Rep. Chris Deluzio (PA-17)
Rep. Chris Deluzio is a veteran and voting rights attorney from Pittsburgh, PA. He has worked to protect voting rights throughout his career, both as the Policy Director at Pitt Cyber and through his work at the Brennan Center for Justice. In Congress, Rep. Deluzio focuses on voting rights and electoral reform, as well as protecting reproductive rights, supporting unions, and increasing access to healthcare. Rep. Rep. Mary Gay Scanlon (PA-05)
Rep. Mary Gay Scanlon was first elected to Congress in 2018. Prior, she represented neglected children with the Support Center for Child Advocates, served as co-chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Commission on Children at Risk and the Legal Rights of Children Committee, and was a founding board member of the Philadelphia Legal Assistance. Janelle Stelson is running to represent Pennsylvania’s 10th Congressional District, a seat currently held by Republican Rep. Scott Perry. Central Pennsylvanians have relied on Stelson, a broadcast journalist for more than 30 years, to tell the truth, get answers, and hold the powerful accountable. Gov. Josh Shapiro (PA-Gov)
Governor Josh Shapiro served as Governor of Pennsylvania since 2023, delivering results and protecting fundamental freedoms. In his first term, he invested record funding into public education, ensured free breakfast for every student, expanded economic opportunity by eliminating degree requirements for most state jobs, and led the rapid reopening of I-95 after its collapse. He also signed automatic voter registration into law, strengthened reproductive rights, and fought to make government work more efficiently for working families. A proud Jewish American, Governor Shapiro often speaks about how his Jewish values guide his work, and he has been a strong voice against antisemitism and extremism. Before becoming governor, he served as Pennsylvania’s attorney general, where he defended voting rights, protected access to reproductive healthcare, held opioid manufacturers accountable, and oversaw the landmark investigation into sexual abuse in the Catholic Church. Governor Shapiro is running for reelection to continue building a stronger, fairer Pennsylvania for all. JDCA endorsed Gov. Shapiro in 2022 and for his candidacy in 2026. 
Rhode Island
Sen. Jack Reed (RI)
Senator Jack Reed has served as the senior United States senator from Rhode Island since 1997 and is a respected leader on defense, economic policy, and healthcare. He played a key role in drafting provisions of the Affordable Care Act and continues to advocate for expanding access to quality, affordable healthcare. He is a strong proponent of clean energy investments to combat the climate crisis and build a more sustainable future for all. A longtime advocate for gun safety, Sen. Reed supports an assault weapons ban, universal background checks, and tighter restrictions on high-capacity magazines and ammunition. He is a steadfast supporter of the U.S.-Israel relationship, opposes the BDS movement, and supports a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. He has consistently condemned antisemitism, bigotry, and hate in all forms. JDCA endorsed Sen. Reed in 2020.
Rep. Gabe Amo (RI-01)
Representative Gabe Amo was first elected to Congress in the 2023 special election to replace outgoing Rep. David Cicilline. Prior, he worked in the Biden administration as a special assistant and deputy director of the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs, working as the principal liaison to mayors and local elected officials. Rep. Amo also served as then-Governor Gina Raimondo's principal advisor on outreach to Rhode Island's local government, business, and faith communities. Rep. Amo focuses on protecting Social Security, Medicare, and abortion rights, while tackling gun violence and climate change. Rep. Amo serves as a Vice Ranking Member of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs and is on the House Bipartisan Task Force For Combating Antisemitism. JDCA endorsed Rep. Amo in 2024.
Rep. Seth Magaziner (RI-02)
Representative Seth Magaziner was first elected to Congress in 2022. Prior, he served as Rhode Island’s General Treasurer, where he invested in education, job creation, and clean energy infrastructure. When he chaired the state’s school building task force, Magaziner led a statewide school construction initiative that created over 28,000 jobs and repaired over 200 schools. He launched an innovative clean energy financing program that helped cities and towns build out solar, wind, and climate resiliency projects. He also helped pass the Reproductive Privacy Act in 2019, as well as common-sense gun measures like banning guns on school grounds and a red flag law. In Congress, his top priorities include protecting democracy, combating gun violence, and expanding the Affordable Care Act. JDCA endorsed Rep. Magaziner in 2024.
South Carolina
Rep. Jim Clyburn (SC-06)
Jim Clyburn has represented South Carolina’s 6th Congressional District since 1992. During his time in Congress, Clyburn has served as the House Majority Whip and Assistant Democratic Leader. He was the first African American to represent South Carolina since 1893. Clyburn has been an advocate for healthcare reform, increasing the minimum wage, banning offshore drilling, and transitioning from fossil fuels. Clyburn advocates a two-state solution for Israel that demands the release of the hostages and peaceful coexistence in the region. He frequently uses his platform to speak out against antisemitic and hateful acts across the country.
Tennessee
Rep. Steve Cohen (TN-09)
Steve Cohen has represented Tennessee's 9th Congressional District since 2007. Prior to serving in Congress, Cohen was a legal advisor to the Memphis Police Department, vice president of Tennessee’s Constitutional Convention, and commissioner of Shelby County. He also served in the Tennessee Senate for 24 years and gained attention for removing the ban on the lottery, raising money for scholarships, afterschool programs, and pre-K. Cohen has also expanded access to healthcare and fought for animal welfare, reinstatement of voting rights, and funding for the arts. Cohen was elected as Tennessee’s first Jewish congressman, and despite having been the victim of antisemitic rhetoric in campaigns, Cohen is proudly Jewish and has taken a strong stance against antisemitism, calling out Donald Trump and the GOP’s numerous attacks on Jewish communities.
Texas
Rep. Lizzie Fletcher (TX-07)
Representative Lizzie Fletcher, elected in 2018 after working at a Houston-based law firm, became the first Democrat in over 50 years and the first woman to represent Texas’ 7th District. In office, Rep. Fletcher has championed initiatives to strengthen healthcare by lowering costs and expanding coverage. She introduced the Expand Medicaid Now Act, which was signed into law as part of the American Rescue Plan Act. Rep. Fletcher has also prioritized environmental protections and energy policy, gun violence prevention, civil rights, and reproductive freedom. Rep. Fletcher is a strong ally to Israel and the Jewish community. JDCA endorsed Rep. Fletcher in 2024.
Virginia
Sen. Mark Warner (VA)
Senator Mark Warner has served as the senior United States senator from Virginia since 2009 and has a strong record of delivering results for Virginians. A former Governor of Virginia, Sen. Warner is known for his economic leadership and pragmatic approach to problem-solving. In the Senate, he has championed expanding access to affordable healthcare, protecting Virginia’s natural resources, and defending democracy. As Vice Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, he has led efforts to safeguard U.S. elections from foreign interference and strengthen national security. He is a strong advocate for climate action and supports investment in solar, wind, nuclear, and carbon-capture technologies. On gun safety, he backs universal background checks and a ban on military-style assault weapons. He is a defender of reproductive rights and is committed to protecting access to abortion nationwide. Sen. Warner is a staunch supporter of the U.S.-Israel relationship. He supports continued aid to Israel, a two-state solution, and has opposed the BDS movement, including voting for the Combatting BDS Act. Rep. Jennifer McClellan (VA-04)
Representative Jennifer McClellan was first elected in a 2023 special election following the passing of Rep. Donald McEachin. Prior, she served in the VA Senate and House of Delegates. In Virginia, she helped pass landmark laws to protect voting rights, safeguard abortion access, tackle climate change, rebuild crumbling schools, expand Obamacare, protect workers' rights, and reform Virginia’s criminal justice system. Rep. McClellan has also been a leader in addressing Virginia’s painful history of racial inequity. As chair of the Virginia Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Commission, she promotes Dr. King’s legacy and continues his work, particularly racial healing, economic and social justice, and community engagement. Rep. McClellan currently serves on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, is the Chair of the Abortion Rights and Access Task Force under the Reproductive Freedom Caucus, and is the Leadership Member at Large for the New Democrat Coalition. Rep. Suhas Subramanyam (VA-10)
Rep. Subramanyam was elected to Congress in 2024. Prior, he served in the Virginia Senate and the Virginia House of Delegates. He also worked as a policy aide on Capitol Hill, where he worked to expand healthcare access, advance the DREAM Act, and increase job opportunities for veterans, and as a technology policy advisor to President Obama. In the General Assembly, he passed legislation to decrease drug prices and has protected consumers from being overcharged on energy bills. His priorities in Congress include ending gun violence, protecting our democracy, and safeguarding reproductive freedom. JDCA endorsed Rep. Subramanyam in 2024.
Rep. Eugene Vindman (VA-07)
Representative Eugene Vindman was born in Soviet Ukraine during the height of the Cold War. His family fled when he was young and arrived in New York as refugees in 1979. Rep. Vindman and his brothers attended public schools in Brooklyn, and after graduating, he attended SUNY Binghamton and enrolled in ROTC at Cornell. He was commissioned as an infantry officer and spent 25 years in the Army. In 2016, he was assigned to the Pentagon and later joined the NSC. Rep. Vindman and his brother, also in the NSC, were the whistleblowers who reported Trump’s call with the President of Ukraine, which launched Trump’s first impeachment. Rep. Vindman’s priorities include reproductive freedom, safe and high-quality public education, a strong middle class, and voting rights. As a Jewish American, Rep. Vindman is committed to ensuring that law enforcement agencies have the tools to combat the threat of white nationalism and strengthen hate crime laws. Rep. Vindman believes a two-state solution is the only path forward to achieve peace and that we must work with regional partners, as well as Israeli and Palestinian leadership, to develop a multi-step plan to protect the safety of the Israeli people and ensure a successful two-state solution. Since October 7, Rep. Vindman has advocated for the national security supplemental to secure additional funding for Israel and criticized Republicans for delaying its passage. JDCA endorsed Rep. Rep. James Walkinshaw (VA-11)
Rep. James Walkinshaw was born and raised in Northern Virginia and has devoted his career to his community. Before being elected to represent Virginia’s 11th District in a 2025 special election, he served for more than a decade as Chief of Staff to Congressman Gerry Connolly, where he oversaw all aspects of the Congressman’s office and served as his chief adviser on a host of issues, working closely with state and local officials. He worked alongside Congressman Connolly to pass the Affordable Care Act, fight climate change, secure federal funding for Fairfax, and deliver for federal employees. Walkinshaw was elected to the Board of Supervisors for Fairfax County in 2019, where he has focused on solving everyday problems for the communities he represents and making real progress on issues that matter. On the Board, he led efforts to ban guns from libraries and rec centers, improve pay and benefits for working families, extend tax relief to seniors and military families, fight climate change, and keep our local environment clean and healthy.
Washington
Rep. Suzan DelBene (WA-01)
Suzan DelBene has served as the representative from Washington’s 1st Congressional District since 2013. She is the chair of the DCCC and a former chair of the New Democratic Coalition. Previously, she worked in the technology industry and was a leader in corporations and nonprofits like Microsoft and Global Partnerships. She was then the director of the Washington State Department of Revenue before running for Congress. In Congress, DelBene has prioritized reproductive healthcare, decarbonization of the global economy, and economic security for low-income families. DelBene has voted for or cosponsored many pieces of pro-Israel legislation, including sending aid to Israel, condemning Hamas, and calling for the return of all hostages who remain in Gaza.
Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (WA-03)
Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez is a small business owner who has served Washington’s 3rd Congressional District since 2023. As the owner of a local auto repair shop, Gluesenkamp Perez has had to grapple with the pressing issues of inflation and the high cost of living. Because of this, she is dedicated to clearing red tape for small businesses and raising wages for working Americans. Additionally, Rep. Gluesenkamp Perez is committed to making childcare affordable to remove barriers for people who would like to join the workforce but are unable to find or pay for childcare. In Congress, Rep. Gluesenkamp Perez fights for key Democratic priorities like reproductive freedom and reducing the cost of healthcare. She currently serves on the House Committee on Appropriations. JDCA endorsed Rep. Rep. Emily Randall (WA-06)
Representative Emily Randall was born and raised in a union household in the Kitsap Peninsula. She has focused her career on expanding access to affordable health care, including at Planned Parenthood. After President Trump was elected in 2016, she decided to run for office and flipped a Republican state senate seat to help Democrats win control of the Washington state government. In the Washington Senate, she led the passage of landmark legislation to protect abortion access, expand Medicaid, and improve apprenticeship programs. Rep. Kim Schrier (WA-08)
Representative Kim Schrier was first elected to Congress in 2018. Before her election, Rep. Schrier worked as a pediatrician. Drawing from both personal experience and professional expertise, Rep. Schrier’s top priority is healthcare; she entered politics because her representative worked to repeal the Affordable Care Act. She has cosponsored numerous pieces of pro-Israel legislation as well as legislation condemning BDS. In the 119th Congress, Rep. Schrier is a member of the Committee on Energy and Commerce. Rep. Wisconsin
Chris Taylor (WI Supreme Court)
Judge Chris Taylor is running for an open seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court in 2026, a race that will determine whether the court’s current 4-3 liberal majority is expanded to 5-2 or remains unchanged. She currently serves on the Wisconsin Court of Appeals, having assumed office in District IV in 2023 after being appointed to the Dane County Circuit Court by Governor Tony Evers in 2020 and subsequently elected, and previously served in the Wisconsin State Assembly from 2011 to 2020. Before joining the bench, she worked as an attorney and policy director for Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin, where she defended constitutional rights and advocated for health care access, fair wages, and stronger protections to victims of sexual assault and domestic violence. Taylor is married to a Jewish husband and raised her children Jewish, and she has emphasized that the experience of raising Jewish kids and sending them to university has shaped her views on antisemitism in the United States, including on college campuses. Rep. Mikie Sherrill was first elected to Congress representing New Jersey's 11th District in 2018. Prior to her election, she served in the U.S. Navy, as a federal prosecutor, and as a Russian policy officer working on the implementation of our nuclear treaty obligations. In Congress, she serves on the House Armed Services Committee and has prioritized lowering the cost of living for New Jersey families, protecting our national security, and honoring and defending our military veterans and families. Attorney General-Elect Jay Jones (VA)
Jay Jones is the Democratic candidate for Virginia Attorney General. A lifelong resident of Norfolk, he previously served as an Assistant Attorney General and as a member of the Virginia House of Delegates from 2018 to 2021. As Assistant Attorney General, Jones took on the gun lobby and fought corporate special interests to prevent higher grocery prices. In the Virginia House of Delegates, he worked to expand Medicaid, protect reproductive rights, and champion environmental protections. Jones has been a leading advocate for civil rights and democracy, fighting on behalf of the Virginia NAACP against efforts to strip voting rights, and served on the board of Virginia Planned Parenthood. He has also spoken out forcefully against antisemitism, standing with Jewish communities in Virginia and nationwide to ensure hate has no place in public life. Now, he is running for attorney general to combat crime, end corporate price gouging, and protect democracy. JDCA is proud to endorse Jay Jones for his candidacy in 2025.
Justice Susan Crawford (WI Supreme Court)
Justice Susan Crawford was elected to the Wisconsin Supreme Court in April 2025. Prior to serving on the state Supreme Court, Justice Crawford served as judge for Branch 1 of the Dane County Circuit Court in Wisconsin since 2018. Before that, she was in private practice, where she represented organizations including Planned Parenthood. She has also served as Assistant Attorney General to Democrat Jim Doyle in the late 1990s and early 2000s. JDCA endorsed Justice Crawford in 2025 and played an active role in turning out the Jewish vote in this election, the first statewide election of Trump’s second term.
Justice Christine Donohue (PA Supreme Court)
Christine Donohue has served on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court since 2016. Prior to her election, she practiced law for 27 years as a civil trial lawyer and litigator before serving as a judge on the Pennsylvania Superior Court beginning in 2008. Donohue has consistently defended core democratic values and uplifted the middle class. She has supported voting rights in key rulings, including expanding the ability of voters to cast provisional ballots if their mail-in ballot is rejected, and opposing efforts to discard ballots based on technical errors like incorrect dates. Donohue has also defended LGBTQ+ rights and affirmed the court’s authority to regulate firearms. Now, she is running to retain her seat on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and will continue fighting for reproductive freedom, democracy, and the rights of all Pennsylvanians. Justice Kevin Dougherty (PA Supreme Court)
Kevin Dougherty has served on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court since 2016. He previously worked as an Assistant District Attorney, in private law practice, and as a judge on the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas. On the Supreme Court, Dougherty has consistently upheld reproductive rights, democracy, and equal justice. He supported a challenge to restrictions on Medicaid funding for abortion access, and he affirmed a city’s ability to regulate gun ranges. He has been a strong advocate for LGBTQ+ rights, supported criminal justice reform and mental healthcare, and has worked to fight the homelessness crisis among veterans. Dougherty also authored the majority opinion in a case affirming the right of a Jewish family to display anti-hate yard signs after they were targeted with antisemitic slurs. Now, he is running to retain his seat on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and will continue his leadership in voting rights, democracy, and combating antisemitism. Justice David Wecht (PA Supreme Court)
David Wecht has served on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court since 2016. Prior to joining the court, he worked in private law, served as a judge on the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas, and was elected to the Pennsylvania Superior Court in 2012. Wecht has been a staunch defender of reproductive rights, gun safety, and expanding the use of provisional ballots, making it easier for all Americans to vote. Wecht, who was raised Jewish, has been outspoken against antisemitism and the dangers of rising tolerance of Jewish hate. In this, he prioritizes the protection of free speech, clarifying that the best remedy for hate speech is “more speech” rather than government censorship. In 2025, Wecht is running to retain his seat on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and will continue his leadership in fighting Jewish hate, promoting democracy, and upholding free speech.
