The world’s largest ice-and-snow theme park is set to open on December 17 in Harbin, the capital of China’s Heilongjiang province.

This marks the 27th edition of the Harbin Ice-Snow World, attracting winter tourists from across the globe.

The park spans an unprecedented 13 million square feet (1.2 million square meters), making it the largest ice-and-snow attraction in the world.

Construction used 14.1 million cubic feet (400,000 cubic meters) of ice and snow. This year’s theme, “Ice and Snow, Fairy Tale World,” promises visitors a magical winter experience.

Visitors can explore three main landscape axes, each designed with intricate ice and snow artistry. These areas offer stunning views, interactive spaces, and photo opportunities for tourists seeking unique winter memories.

Advance tickets are available through the park's official WeChat account and platforms like Meituan and Alipay. From December 17 to 23, adult tickets are priced at 298 yuan (around $42). After this promotional period, tickets will return to the standard price of 328 yuan.

Beyond the Ice-Snow World, Harbin promotes the 16.1-million-square-foot (1.5-million-square-meter) Sun Island Snow Expo and an Ice and Snow Carnival along the frozen Songhua River. The carnival features about 260 snow sculptures and 60 ice-and-snow entertainment projects, making Harbin a must-visit winter destination.
