How to use Installatron from the command line

Every Installatron Plugin and Installatron Server API can also be executed from the server command line. The API documentation provides the corresponding CLI command for every endpoint.

Note: Installatron API commands must be executed as the server's root user.

1. Open the API documentation

Select the API documentation for the Installatron product installed on the server:

2. Select an API

Use the API sidebar to select the operation you want to perform, such as installing an application, viewing installed applications, creating a backup, or updating an application.

3. Select the CLI tab

Each API page provides examples for the available interfaces. Select the CLI tab to display the complete command-line command and its supported parameters.

For example:

/usr/local/installatron/installatron \
	--POST /browser/wordpress/install \
	--user exampleuser \
	--url https://www.example.com/blog

The command shown in the API documentation can be copied and adjusted with the values required for your server or hosting account.
