H-1B Notice

The University will no longer sponsor H-1B petitions for individuals outside the United States who require consular processing. These cases are now subject to a $100,000 federal filing fee, which significantly impacts the institution’s ability to support such applications.

The University will continue to sponsor the following H-1B actions:

  • Change of Status (COS) for individuals already in the U.S.
  • Change of Employer (COE) for current H-1B holders transitioning to the University
  • Amendments and Extensions for existing H-1B employees

Please note: Immigration regulations and federal requirements are subject to change at any time, and the University has no control over such changes. Departments should remain flexible and consult with the Office of International Programs or Human Resources for the most current guidance before initiating any employment actions involving H-1B sponsorship.
