Punklorde is a cyberworld known for gamers, hackers, and the invention of aether editing technology. It is a planet made of data and symbols, where the edges of reality and illusion are blurred.[2] Some locations in Punklorde include Mount Scrap, Rainbow City, the Dark Zone, and the Oasis Zone.[3]
Hacking is a large culture in Punklorde, and hackers use aether editing to alter reality to their will.[4] There's also the tradition of "Punklorde Mentality" in which hackers leaves some sort of trace or calling card, such as graffiti, as a way to challenge others. This is done because they find excitement in rivalry and competition.[2] Almost everyone in Punklorde works in teams, as loners do not last long; the loners that do last eventually become legends.[1] Any hacker who can be called "legendary" will eventually leave Punklorde for the stars, inspiring future eras of hackers to become legends.[3]
Besides hacking, Punklorde also features a prominent gaming culture with popular games such as Pong, Battle Wheel 32, Geometric Wars, Odysseus, and Star Cheetah.[5] Punklordian hackers view life as a game to be enjoyed and conquered.[2]
