Amphoreus, also known as The Eternal Land, is an isolated world governed by the Chrysos Heirs, and was once in a state of chaos until the Titans emerged from the remnants of the gods. The "Eternal Holy City," Okhema, serves as the last refuge for its people and their allies against the black tide.
It is the fifth world that can be accessed upon completing Trailblaze Mission chapter A New Venture on the Eighth Dawn.
Trailblaze Mission chapters Heroic Saga of Flame-Chase, Light Slips the Gate, Shadow Greets the Throne, Through the Petals in the Land of Repose, The Fall at Dawn's Rise, For the Sun is Set to Die, Before Their Deaths, Back to Earth in Evernight, and As Tomorrow Became Yesterday take place on this world.
Overview[]
Amphoreus, The Eternal Land is a segmentum hidden deep in the cosmos. It is severed from the outside and is difficult for anyone to detect or encounter. Standard interstellar navigation can barely perceive its existence, let alone pass through or arrive at the world itself.
Akivili the Trailblaze had traversed myriad worlds, pioneered into unknown lands, and connected countless worlds. For THEIR followers, exploring the edge of the unknown in the depths of the Cosmos is their paramount duty. Using the special technology from the Garden, "Garden of Recollection's Mirror," the Astral Express successfully arrives at Amphoreus to initiate their trailblazing journey and tries their best to reveal the truth behind the Three Paths.
Amphoreus is actually Scepter δ-me13: a Celestial-Body Neuron abandoned by the "Erudition," later converted into an experimental site for the Lord Ravager "Irontomb." But with the aid of the "Trailblaze" and other cosmic factions, the beings born from this experiment began a crusade against the "Destruction" and reversed the universe's fate of being corrupted by Irontomb.
Finally, through the Path of Remembrance, the scepter's once-deprived consciousness fully took form. It sacrificed itself to lose the experiment's causal loop, anchoring the "fall of Irontomb" into reality. Carrying the Seed created by the "Remembrance," the Astral Express sings the epic of Amphoreus throughout the cosmos, looking forward to a reunion with everyone in the promised "tomorrow."Description[]
According to Black Swan, Amphoreus is a world that even Akivili the Trailblaze never reached. The world is unknown to most people, hidden from outside observation by a mass of chaotic matter that prevents conventional interstellar travel from detecting its presence or passing by or landing on the world.[1] It can only be observed through the light of the mirrors from the Garden of Recollection. It is also fettered by three different Paths, leaving its destiny hanging in the balance.[2] These three Paths are Destruction,[3] Erudition, and Remembrance.[4][5]
It is later revealed that Amphoreus is a simulated world created by Scepter δ-me13 under instructions from its adminstrator Lygus, true idenity Zandar One Kuwabara, for the purpose of the Amphoreus Experiment, whose calculation target was to identify the prime mover of life and to prove that all lifeform behaviors ultimately follow the path of increasing entropy.[6] There are Twelve Factors, who serve as the core variables of the experiment, each representing a simplified model of life's Primum Mobile.[7] The models for Hatred and Lament, NeiKos496 and PhiLia093, also known as Khaslana and Cyrene, respectively were able to halt the experiment's progression. In each eternal recurrence, Khaslana would kill Cyrene at the beginning, and at the end of the eternal recurrence, Cyrene would upload the memories collected within the Ceremonial Blade at the Great Tomb of the Nameless Titan.[8][9]
The Scepter δ-me13, a creation of Rubert II, is an astral computer that the simulated world of Amphoreus runs on in continuous cycles. Unlike other Scepters, δ-me13 once served as a Celestial-Body Neuron for Nous, but was later discarded. Gazed at by Nanook during its endless computations, it transcended and became the Lord Ravager, Irontomb.[10]

Along the corridor descending from the throne, the golden butterflies of divine conciousness that once perched upon the branches have perished in the searing golden blood, leaving behind only the embers of their cast-off husks. | |

Trivia[]
- During the Cosmodyssey Event, the board encounter for Sparkle mentions her disguising herself as "Smartie Club #888 Miss Philosophy Professor," parodying the Genius Society. She proclaims herself to be the divine mecha, in charge of screenwriting in ancient times at Amphoreus and invites the Trailblazer to participate in a theatrical show.[26]
- Tell Me, O Muse, the name of the Achievement when Amphoreus is decided as the next stop, is from the opening line of the Odyssey, one of two major Ancient Greek epic poems attributed to Homer, the other being the Iliad.
- O Muse, Tell Me is an Achievement obtained after completing the Trailblaze Mission Fallen Petals, Leave Fading Traces of Fragrance, complementing the first Achievement that references Amphoreus.
- From the Animated Short- "Hello, World!", "Hello, World!" is a basic code that programmers learn when they first start. As a reference that Amphoreus is a simulation running on the computer Scepter δ-me13.
Etymology[]
- As confirmed by the developers, Amphoreus refers to a type of container used in Ancient Greek vase paintings, the amphora (Greek: ἀμφορεύς amphora).[27]
- In the myth of Pandora's box, the box is said to be an amphora, a connection the developers are aware of.[27]
- The world's Chinese name, (Chinese: 翁法罗斯 Wēngfǎluósī), means omphalos, a rounded stone representing the "navel" of the earth in ancient Greek mythology. The Japanese text transliterates this identically as オンパロス Onparosu, but every other transliteration follows the name Amphoreus.
- In ancient Greece, the omphalos stone at Delphi was considered the "navel of the world" and was believed to have marked the center of the earth.
- In Greek mythology, the same term also referred to the boulder that the Greek goddess Rhea made the Titan Cronus swallow instead of their son Zeus, which Cronus vomited out when Zeus tried to free his brothers who had been swallowed by their father.
- "The Eternal Land" may refer to the nickname for the city of Rome, "Urbs Aeterna," meaning "The Eternal City."
