Communication has now, more than ever, become an essential part of modern science. Over the past two decades, researchers have increasingly been called upon to explain their work not only to peers, but also to funding bodies, policymakers, industry leaders and the wider public. Effective science communication goes beyond just transmitting information, it helps build trust between science and society, and inspire future generations to pick up a career in science.

Now, the world’s biggest science communication competition for early-career scientists is coming to CERN, on the 25 of November 2025 at 20h00 CET, in Science Gateway. 9 finalists representing nine different countries will present engaging three-minute talks on a scientific topic of their choice, judged on content, clarity and charisma.
