Join us on June 17 at the next History Café, where contributors from the Shelf Life Community Story Project, which records oral histories with current and former residents of Seattle’s Central District neighborhood, will discuss their new book, Limitless: Stories from the Neighborhood that Shaped Seattle. This book is the culmination of a multi-year oral history project in Seattle’s historically redlined Central District neighborhood. Stories of innovation, interdependence, self-determination, creativity, and resistance are illustrated by seven artists with roots in the CD. History Café -- produced by a partnership between HistoryLink and MOHAI -- is free, but you do need to register.
Join MOHAI, HistoryLink, and the Seattle Public Library on the third Wednesday of the month for a discussion about local history — both popular and obscure — and discover something new. Listen to the audio from past History Cafés on the MOHAI site.
