The cricket of course

But a few weeks back Big Pete (one of the ‘senior’ autograph collectors) observed that my hair was getting rather long

Without thinking, I told him it was staying uncut until Hampshire were secure in Div One

Might have become a bit unruly if yesterday had gone wrong!

Still now I can have it sorted out and be nice and smart for a rather celebratory lunch with the Portsmouth Area Supporters next weekend:

DA 9:15

(Still looking grumpy too!)

On the flip-side, presumably there will be a lot of long-haired people in Sussex this winter.

For those wishing to “replay” the final day through the words of Sussex supporters, their matchday forum thread is here…

It has a striking similarity to some of the comments on the Hants blog, including such gems as …

“Seriously, Sussex can’t charge the same membership fees in Div Two as Div One surely?”

After the coming trim, I think you should leave it until we’re next in Division 2. In 10 years time the Methusalah look should really suit you.
Just about recovered from the ups and downs, and ups and ups, of the last few days.Just tomorrow night’s dinner then I can hibernate until the end of March, unless hibernation is the sole preserve of Hedgehog!

Theoretically one should be able to enter hibernation on the first Saturday after April when no county cricket is scheduled. But with this season’s scheduling I would have had to hibernate many times in the peak of summer.
