FREE MENTAL HEALTH CARE

Outpatient Mental Health Clinic

In 2023, Grassroots launched its Outpatient Mental Health Clinic (OMHC). This is a unique service that further supports consumers who visit in crisis.

Grassroots provides free, in-person therapy and medication management appointments within 48 hours, if not sooner, to consumers who present with a mental health concern and who face a barrier to mental health treatment. A barrier can be lack of insurance or access to affordable mental health care, extended wait times for an appointment, trouble finding an available provider, or technological restrictions associated with telehealth.

The goal is to support consumers by providing them with quality and accessible mental health care, including therapy and stabilization using psychiatric medications, if needed, while bridging connections to longer-term treatment in the community. Services are provided to individuals of any age who reside anywhere in Maryland.

The Grassroots OMHC is open Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Contact 443-472-4231 for support.
