Wrong page orientation when printing

Summary:

Documents oriented landscape are printed in portrait orientation

Steps to reproduce:

  • draw a shape that is horizontally oriented (to help visualize) on the upper left corner of a new document with a portrait orientation
  • printed output will be oriented properly
  • then in Document Properties modify the dimensions to make the width longer than the height. Please note that the dimensions should be changed manually and the format should be used defined (using a standard format such as A4 won't replicate the issue)
  • Print to a pdf or use a printer preview to visualize the printed output

What happened?

The document will be oriented «portrait» but the shape won't have been rotated accordingly (please note than the issue is not than no rotation is made rater than the orientation of the output is modified by the software... I saw some bug reports about pages (or pdf) that are being rotated when printed but, as I understand it, the shapes were being rotated also.

What should have happened?

A landscape document should be exported in the same orientation

Issue observed with Inkscape 1.3 on Ubuntu 22.04 and Windows 10. I also tried to reproduce using Inkscape 1.2 but the behaviour was correct on both OS using that version.
