Menu items aren't highlighted when hovering them a second time
Steps to reproduce:
Firstly, I am well aware this is a very minor glitch, and my annoyance is due to my own inability to adjust. That said, this behavior was not present in former versions of Inkscape.
- Select any two objects you wish to apply "Union", "Difference" on etc.
- Click Object, and select the option you want, without letting go of your mouse.
- Select another two objects you wish to apply the same effect on.
- The option is unavailable and cannot be "released" on without hovering over another option and back.

Unable to select the same option twice in a row without hovering over something else. In fact, this UI glitch applies to every single menu item I tried, but I chose to demonstrate the "Union" and "Difference" effect as I use the former often and it gets tiresome fast enough. This UI glitch is applicable to all available themes in Inkscape 1.0.
What should have happened?
Should be able to select the same option twice in a row when clicking the menu, not releasing the mouse, and hovering over the option.
