DXF import loses layering information

In updating to version 1.1, I find that the dxf import can now handle text.

However the layer coloring is lost! Look at the following:

Version 1.02 dxf import after fixing line 72 in extensions/dxf_import.py

Version 1.1 dxf import

Perhaps this is my misunderstanding but this seems like a regression?
