    Minutes:

    • Switch Attribute on Input Elements: Leo Lee raised PR 9546 for adding the switch attribute to input elements, stating that Chromium is interested in prototyping the feature (00:02:38). Anne van Kesteren noted that they replaced the PR and that implementation interest from Chromium unblocks it, while Noam Rosenthal volunteered to review it (00:03:40). Focus Room 9/3.1052 (4) and Anne van Kesteren discussed pseudo-elements and appearance specifications based on sliders, and Anne van Kesteren mentioned adding a separate PR to fix writing mode bugs for meter and range elements (00:05:00).
    • Autocomplete Tokens for Identifiers: Anne van Kesteren discussed PR 99913 regarding autocomplete tokens for identifiers like electronic ID and IMEI, noting they updated the PR to include a Chinese regulatory identifier token and made the specification text more flexible regarding user agent restrictions (00:07:09). Simon Pieters raised an objection from Mozilla, stating that they could not implement these values on iOS and Android because browsers lack access to prefilled values and operating system opt-in flows (00:09:57). Simon Pieters agreed to take an action item to file issues with iOS and Android bug trackers, while Mason suggested browsers could still offer value by remembering user-typed values similar to how contacts and home addresses are handled (00:11:22).
    • Module Stylesheets Link Tags Attribute Selection: Kurt Catti-Schmidt presented PR options for link tags supporting module imports, explaining that they prefer introducing a new import attribute instead of reusing href or type equals module because href behaves differently in a module import context that uses import map processing (00:13:09). Keith Cirkel and Noam Rosenthal discussed fallback behavior, noting that an empty import attribute could default to the href URL, while unresolved specifiers would fire an error event (00:15:36).
    • Module Stylesheets Link Tags Syntax Debate and Convergence Strategy: Simon Pieters and Anne van Kesteren debated syntax consistency with script tags, where Simon Pieters suggested using a style source attribute for consistency (00:20:15) (00:22:33). Greg Whitworth expressed frustration over repeated redesigns and requested swift convergence, leading Kurt Catti-Schmidt to propose laying out all options on the issue tracker for a non-binding vote and a final decision (00:31:31) (00:37:53). The group agreed to postpone further discussion to TPAC where CSS working group members like John Jansen could participate in person (00:39:57).
    • DOM and HTML Specification Reviews for OpaqueRange: Stephanie Zhang requested PR reviews for the DOM and HTML specifications regarding pack range, prompting Keith Cirkel to commit to working on it at Mozilla, though Anne van Kesteren noted they might not have time before TPAC due to the upcoming WebKit contributor meeting (00:42:25).
    • Offscreen Canvas Placeholder Constraints: Anne van Kesteren brought up issue 10112 regarding constraining offscreen canvas with a placeholder canvas, proposing to restrict it to the same agent cluster (00:42:25). Anne van Kesteren noted that WebKit landed code to allow it across agent clusters, but because cross-process painting is uncharted territory, they created draft pull requests and tests representing both behaviors while asking participants to ping their teams (00:43:48). Additionally, Anne van Kesteren mentioned adding a same agent cluster extended attribute primarily needed for Web Codecs interface objects (00:47:09).
    • Mutation Observer Connection and Unobserve API: Anne van Kesteren presented PR 1508, which adds an unobserve() API and allows mutation observers to observe connection states for nodes. Olli Pettay expressed surprise regarding per-node removal in light of transient observers but agreed to review the pull request, while Anne van Kesteren confirmed that a corrected model for transient observers had already landed in the specification (00:48:29).
    • Meeting Schedule Update: Johnny Stenback announced the cancellation of the following week's meeting and expressed anticipation for seeing participants in Dublin for TPAC (00:49:57).
