… as an intruding float layoutSimpleBlockContentInInline lays the block level boxes on our lines out and gives up when the result is not usable, but the floats that layout propagated up into us stay on our float list. Normal inline layout then lays the same boxes out again and takes that list for the floats intruding from outside, so a box both avoids and stops contributing the overflow of the float it places itself.
