Director of Community & Partnerships at Emilia Capital, and a card-carrying member of the "prefers supporting over coding" club.
I spend my days on the unglamorous, essential side of open source: contributor pipelines, partnership programs, customer support, and the small acts of care that keep communities healthy. Customer success is the thread through everything I do. Back at Yoast I built and led the support team from the ground up, and that experience still shapes how I think about communities today. Most of this work happens in and around the WordPress ecosystem, which I've called home for more than a decade.
- 🌱 Progress Planner: community, partnerships, and a friendlier WordPress admin
- 🤝 Emilia Capital: partnerships across our portfolio of WordPress products
- 📦 FAIR Package Manager: helping the WordPress ecosystem distribute packages, fairly
- 💙 WordPress: long-time contributor, still showing up
I love a stage, and I love hosting yours. Topics I come back to most:
- Building contributor communities that survive their founders
- Customer support as community work: lessons from scaling Yoast's support team
- Open source partnerships that aren't just logo-swaps
- What WordPress can teach the wider OSS world
- Supporter culture: how non-coders make open source actually run
