Become a sponsor to Yasar Alev
Hi, I’m Yasar.
I’ve been building software and working on infrastructure for many years, and open source has always been an important part of how I work. I enjoy taking difficult systems problems and turning them into software that is fast, practical, and easy to run.
My main open source projects today are SDNS and Stoolap.
SDNS is a privacy focused recursive DNS resolver written in Go. It supports modern DNS protocols, DNSSEC, and is designed to provide a fast and independent DNS resolution stack.
Stoolap is a modern embedded SQL database written in Rust. It started from my interest in database internals and gradually became a full database engine with MVCC transactions, a cost based query optimizer, adaptive execution, multiple index types, time travel queries, vector search, parallel execution, and a growing ecosystem of drivers and tools.
I build these projects because I genuinely enjoy working on infrastructure, databases, networking, and performance. Most of the work happens because I encounter a problem, become curious about it, and keep digging until I have something I would actually want to use myself.
Sponsorship helps me spend more time improving these projects, maintaining releases, running infrastructure and CI, writing documentation, investigating performance, and experimenting with ideas that may eventually become useful features.
If SDNS, Stoolap, or any of my other open source work has been useful to you, sponsoring is a simple way to support their continued development.
Thank you for using my work and for being part of the open source community.
